Sr. Business Systems Analyst

Position Summary

• Serve as the primary functional expert for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations, leading the design, implementation, and continuous optimization of enterprise business solutions across global accounting and finance modules.

• Partner closely with internal business leaders, cross-functional teams, and external technology vendors to evaluate business processes, drive automation, and ensure IT solutions align with strategic organizational objectives.

• Provide strategic and tactical guidance across core financial modules, leading requirements gathering, functional solution design, user testing, platform upgrades, and change management initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the functional configuration, deployment, and operational support of core D365 Finance applications, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, Budgeting, and Project Accounting.

• Facilitate design workshops, gather business requirements, perform gap analyses, and translate user needs into functional specifications, process maps, and scalable workflow solutions.

• Coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT), manage platform release cycles, oversee production support escalations, and partner with analytics teams to enhance Power BI financial reporting and data validation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).

• 8+ years of experience analyzing enterprise requirements to design, configure, and implement enterprise business applications.

• 8+ years of hands-on functional experience with Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations, specifically covering GL, AP, AR, Cost Management, and Project Management modules.

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands-on experience working within Agile or hybrid project delivery methodologies using Azure DevOps (ADO).

• Demonstrated background supporting enterprise financial systems within professional services, architecture, engineering, or construction sectors.

• Proven track record of managing complex cross-functional implementations and mentoring junior business systems analysts.
