Job Description
The Senior Cell Therapy Account Manager will be field-based and will be responsible for buildingand developing professionalrelationships, serving as the account lead, within targeted academic hospitals and surrounding physicians to ensure the effective introduction and appropriate use of our product. This opportunity will report to the Senior Marketplace Director for a specific region. The key stakeholders for this role are those who make key cell therapy treatment decisions (cell therapy specialists/transplanters, Approved Treatment Center [“ATC”]-based Lymphoma & Leukemia specialists,community-based lymphoma & leukemia specialists andsupportingstaff to enablesuccessfulcell therapy).
Keyresponsibilities of the Senior Cell Therapy Account Manager include but are not limited to:
DemandGeneration:
Demandgeneration is the primaryresponsibilityof this role byengagingwith healthcare providers (including internal treating physicians, internal referring physicians, and keycommunityphysicians) on the benefits of Kite CAR T as a treatment path versus other treatment options for appropriate patients.

Drivesday to daydemandgeneration activities including providing consistent coverage, meeting frequency target, and achieving overall sales goals.

Identifies and maps outpatientreferral pathways within the hematology networks in the assigned territory and facilitatingpatientaccess to treatment within the ATC and/or referral network.

Articulatestargetpatientprofile and provides product education todrivedemandfor Kite CAR T therapies to physicians within the ATC and surrounding network(s). Differentiate Yescarta/Tecartus versus alternative options through approved messaging.

Develops, maintains, and monitors sales progress and action plans by leveraging availabletools, as well as making adjustments asneeded, to achieve sales targets and related KPIs in assigned territory.

Educates and ensures ATC comfort with CAR T process to avoid barriers in utilization.

Provides clinical instruction to clinical staff (e.g., AEManagementGuide, Product Insert [PI]).

HelpsKey Account Director educatecustomersat treatment center on CAR T access / reimbursement protocols across insurance types asneeded.

Records field activities in CRM.

Supportspromotional activities such as peer-to-peer speaker programs, represents company and brand at professional scientificevents, and promotes company products as well as invitecustomersto speaker programs, peer-to-peer discussions, and other relevant unbranded and brandedevents.

AccountEngagement:
Navigates complexaccountenvironmentandunderstandtheneeds/issues of various stakeholders at all levels within the account.

Improvesanddevelopsprofessionalrelationshipswithin targeted academic hospitals to ensure thesuccessfulintroduction and use of Kite products.

Collaboratesandhelpsprioritize Key Account Director effortssupportingATCdemandenablement. This can include creating and executing account plans, and commercialstrategywithin the territory tohelpgrow class and brandshare.Ensure the Account Plans align to local strategic pillars and key priorities for Cell Therapy as well as accounts for the localdynamicsof the territory.

Facilitates and provides timely feedback to appropriate teamsandmanagementregarding account business trends, changes in the therapeutic landscape, industry issues and business opportunities.

Collaboratesanddevelopseffectiverelationshipswith the ATC’s HQ, Medical teams, treaters, referrers, and keydecisionmakers / influencers.

Gathers andsharescustomerinsights, providing timely follow-up oncommitmentsand requests.

Assists in the identification and resolution of issues and opportunities.

Managesongoing compliance-related activities at the ATC (e.g., REMS Program, periodic audits) once the ATC is operational and work with the ATCOnboardingDirector for site authorization.

PatientAccess and ReimbursementSupport:
Identifies and mapspatientreferral pathways within the hematology networks in your territory and facilitatepatientaccess to treatment.

Providessupportasneededto the Kite Konnect Case Managers who will leadindividualpatientcase managementand processsupport.Examples include:

Educate onpatientregistration process (Kite Konnect) and any other administrative stepsrequiredfor registration.

Improveawarenessofpatientand caregiver travel and lodgingsupport.

Supportoffice staff with specific reimbursementpatientcase resolution.

CAR-T ProcessSupport:
Maintainsvisibilityover the entirety of thepatientjourney.

Managesincomingpatientto ATC to ensure treatment team is prepped.

Incollaborationwith HQ and Medical teams, ensuressuccessfulcoordination of cell journey andpatientaccess,utilizingpatienthealthinformation (PHI) whenneeded.

Works with Kite Konnect Case Manager and Medical to communicate with appropriate parties when and if anydisruptionin apatient-specific cell therapy journey occurs.

Managesand addresses cancelations asneeded, especially those occurring pre-apheresis.

OtherResponsibilities:
AdvisesATCOnboardingDirector whenonboardingnew ATC sites, assist in authorizing new FACT and non-FACT treatment centers asneeded.

Supportscustomerawarenessof the CAR T Process, availablepatientsupport, and the ATC Expansion, and 3rd Party Payor Access asneeded.

In coordination with Case Manager, works with treatment physicians, administrative staff, and other staff.

Operate in compliance with all laws, regulations and policies always and protectspersonal identifier data of patients.

Basic Qualifications

:
Master’s degree and 6+yearsof experience
OR
Bachelor’s degree and 8+yearsof experience
OR
Associate’s degree and 10+yearsof experience
OR
High School Diploma / GED and 12+yearsof experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Proven track recordof high performance.

Demonstrates initiative taken and has a willingness to work hands-on and with a sense ofurgency, in anexciting, entrepreneurialenvironment.

Passionatefor commercializing breakthrough medicines, astrongcompetitiveand commercial mindset,robustscientificacumen and apatientcentric approach.

Possesses a long term, strategicunderstandingof the oncology market, ideally in cell therapy.

Strongbusiness acumen and ability to evaluate and apply data to informdecisionmaking.

Experience with managing large accounts including strategic planning, problem solving andexecution.

Launch experience within academic hospitals preferred.

Prior experience in a hematology or oncology specialist therapy area is preferred, however not mandatory.

Stronginterpersonal skillswith the ability to lead andbuildworkingrelationshipsinternally and externally.

Strong track record of developstrongrelationshipswithkeyopinionleaders.

Provenexpertiseinbuildinginterpersonalrelationships, along withstronginfluencing and negotiating skills.

Provenexperience in account planning andcross-functionalaccountmanagementapproach.

Self-motivated and able to work with a general level ofautonomyandindependence.

Familiar with industry trends and remain current withcompetitors’ resources and practices.

Demonstratessolidanalyticalskills, be able to identifyandunderstandmoderatetocomplexissues and problems and interpret information in a manner that provides appropriate recommendations.

Able to efficiently work incross-functionalteams.

Possesses a graduate ormaster’s degree and relevant sales experience within the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry.

Requires some overnight travel – 25%.

The salary range for this position is: $173,910.00 - $225,060.00. Kite considers a variety of factors when determining base compensation, including experience, qualifications, and geographic location. These considerations mean actual compensation will vary. This position may also be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, discretionary stock-based long-term incentives (eligibility may vary based on role), paid time off, and a benefits package. Benefits include company-sponsored medical, dental, vision, and life insurance plans*.
