Position Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cisco Nexus Dashboard Fabric Controller Senior Engineer to join our team on a remote contract basis. The successful candidate will specialize in deploying and optimizing Cisco Nexus Dashboard Fabric Controller (NDFC) in a greenfield environment. This role requires an expert understanding of network infrastructure, data center fabric management, and automation capabilities provided by Cisco's advanced tools.
Contract Details:
- Duration: 5 Months with a potential for extension
- Location: Remote work from home
- Hours Are as Follows:
- Part Time @ 20 hours per week from April 22nd through May 17th
- This is during business hours (8am to 5pm) Monday Through Friday
- Full-Time horus @ 40 hours per week May 20th through August 30, 2024
- Full Time Hours are working from 5pm to 1am Monday through Friday
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, deploy, and manage, in a greenfield environment, Cisco Nexus Dashboard Fabric Controller environments to ensure efficient operation of data center networks.
- Develop automation tools and processes for the deployment and management of network configurations using NDFC.
- Provide technical leadership in the planning and implementation of data center network transformations and migrations.
- Monitor network performance, troubleshoot complex issues, and provide solutions to optimize data center operations.
- Collaborate with IT teams to integrate NDFC solutions with other network technologies and management tools.
- Conduct regular system audits, prepare detailed documentation, and report on system health and project progress.
- Stay updated with the latest developments in network technologies and Cisco products, applying this knowledge to improve current processes.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in network engineering, with a strong focus on Cisco data center technologies and solutions.
- Proven expertise in managing Cisco Nexus Dashboard Fabric Controller, including deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting.
- Solid understanding of Cisco ACI, Nexus series switches, and data center network architecture.
- Proficient in network automation and scripting languages such as Python, Ansible, or similar.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Strong communication and project management skills, with a track record of handling remote work effectively.
