Job Description - Sr. Commercial General Liability & Auto Claims Adjuster | Remote
Our client is seeking to add a Senior Commercial General Liability / Auto Bodily Injury Claims Adjuster to their team. This individual will be responsible for handling moderate to complex Commercial Liability claims from inception through resolution. Responsibilities include investigating coverage and liability, evaluating injuries and damages, establishing reserves, negotiating settlements, and managing both litigated and non-litigated files. This is a fully remote position, but qualified candidates must possess an active New York Adjuster's License.
Responsibilities:
Investigate, evaluate, negotiate, and resolve moderate to complex Commercial General Liability and Auto Bodily Injury claims.
Manage an assigned inventory of claims from initial assignment through resolution.
Conduct thorough investigations to determine coverage, liability, and damages.
Obtain and review police reports, recorded statements, medical records, medical bills, wage loss documentation, and other supporting evidence.
Evaluate bodily injury exposures and establish appropriate reserves based on claim severity and potential exposure.
Communicate and negotiate with insureds, claimants, attorneys, medical providers, and other involved parties.
Manage attorney-represented and litigated claims, coordinate with defense counsel, and participate in mediations and settlement negotiations when appropriate.
Identify potential high-exposure claims and escalate files for additional authority when necessary.
Ensure timely claim payments, maintain accurate file documentation, and comply with all applicable state regulations and company best practices.
Requirements:
5+ years of Commercial General Liability and/or Auto Bodily Injury claims handling experience.
Experience handling attorney-represented and litigated BI claims preferred.
Active NY Adjuster's License required.
Strong knowledge of Commercial Auto coverage, liability investigations, bodily injury evaluation, reserving, and settlement negotiations.
Experience reviewing medical documentation and evaluating moderate to complex bodily injury exposures.
Excellent verbal, written, negotiation, and organizational skills.
Bachelor's Degree preferred but not required.
Salary/Benefits:
$45.00–$55.00+/hour (depending on experience)
