Location: This is a hybrid (virtual/onsite) position with required onsite days on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. The selected candidate may be assigned to any Consumers Energy Service Center located in the southern portion of Michigan’s Lower Peninsula, including the Saginaw area and surrounding communities. Candidates must live within a reasonable commuting distance of their assigned service center or be willing to relocate. A relocation package is available for eligible candidates.
GENERAL SUMMARY OF JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
The Startup, Testing, and Commissioning – EPM Technical/Procedure Writer and Trainer is assigned to projects and provides the department’s clients with high-quality project oversight, training support, and technical writing skills. Guidance and oversight will be provided for the development and/or revision of all Operating Procedures, Alarm Response Procedures, and required Maintenance Procedures, along with training needs and content, development of training materials and schedules, and presentation needs affected by the assigned projects.
The Sr. Commissioning Analyst applies intensive and diversified knowledge of engineering/commissioning principles and practices in broad areas of assignments and related fields; makes decisions independently on engineering/commissioning problems and methods; and represents the organization in meetings to resolve important questions. This role requires the use of advanced techniques and the modification and extension of theories, precepts, and practices of their field and related sciences and disciplines.

• Bachelor’s degree in a science or related field and four (4) years of experience reading electrical schematics and diagrams; performing/managing instruments and electrical components; performing mechanical testing; experience or exposure to the National Electrical Code and NFPA 70E; knowledge of OSHA 10 and 30 and safe work behaviors and practices; NERC standards and compliance; and MPSC Gas Code.
o (OR) Associate’s degree with six (6) years of experience reading electrical schematics and diagrams; performing/managing instruments and electrical components; performing mechanical testing; experience or exposure to the National Electrical Code and NFPA 70E; knowledge of OSHA 10 and 30 and safe work behaviors and practices; NERC standards and compliance; and MPSC Gas Code.
o (OR) High School Diploma/GED with eight (8) years of experience reading electrical schematics and diagrams; performing/managing instruments and electrical components; performing mechanical testing; experience or exposure to the National Electrical Code and NFPA 70E; knowledge of OSHA 10 and 30 and safe work behaviors and practices; NERC standards and compliance; and MPSC Gas Code.
