SR Controls Engineer

Logistics Insight is hiring a Controls Engineer to support and improve automation systems across our warehouse and distribution operations. 

This is a hands-on role. You’ll be working directly with real systems. Troubleshooting, improving, and helping bring new automation to life. If you like seeing your work run on the floor, this is that kind of job. 

What You’ll Do 

• Design and support control systems for automated material handling environments 

• Program and troubleshoot PLCs (Allen-Bradley primarily) 

• Build and maintain HMI/SCADA applications 

• Support commissioning, start-ups, and system debugging 

• Work closely with operations to solve issues and improve performance 

• Integrate conveyors, sortation systems, and other automated equipment 

• Document systems and support ongoing improvements 

What You Bring 

• 3+ years of experience in industrial controls or automation 

• Strong PLC programming skills (Allen-Bradley preferred) 

• Experience with HMI platforms (FactoryTalk, Ignition, etc.) 

• Solid understanding of sensors, drives, and industrial networking 

• Ability to troubleshoot in a live production environment 

• Comfortable spending time on the floor, not just behind a desk
