Job Description - Sr. Director, Data & Analytics

Job Summary

The Senior Director, Data & Analytics is a strategic enterprise leader responsible for shaping KEEN’s data vision and transforming the organization into a truly data-driven and AI-enabled business. This role goes beyond platform ownership. It defines how data and analytics create competitive advantage across merchandising, DTC, wholesale, supply chain, finance, and global operations. The Senior Director will connect strategy to execution — translating business priorities into scalable data capabilities, modern analytics, and intelligent decision frameworks.

As Head of the Analytics Center of Excellence (CoE), this leader will unify technical and functional analytics communities, elevate data literacy, standardize KPIs, and embed analytics into everyday business decision-making. Success in this role requires both deep technology expertise and strong retail/consumer industry knowledge to ensure rapid, practical impact.

Essential Functions

Description

  • Defines and communicates a compelling enterprise data & AI vision that supports KEEN’s commercial strategy, growth ambitions, and long-range planning.

  • Identifies and prioritizes high-impact analytics opportunities across merchandising, DTC, wholesale, supply chain, and finance — ensuring measurable business outcomes.

  • Develops and leads KEEN’s AI data readiness strategy, enabling predictive insights, automation, personalization, and intelligent decision support.

  • Provides executive-level thought leadership on how analytics can improve margin, inventory productivity, customer engagement, and operational efficiency.

  • Leads enterprise data architecture and platform direction, ensuring scalability, governance, and reliability.

  • Leads and evolves the Analytics Center of Excellence, establishing governance standards, KPI harmonization, intake processes, and enterprise decision rights.

  • Builds and develops a high-performing team of Data Architects, Data Engineers, and Technical Data Analysts; strengthen the broader analyst community through education and capability building.

  • Serves as a trusted advisor to executive leadership; communicate progress through business impact metrics, not just technical milestones.

Please note this job description is not designed to contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job. Duties responsibilities and activities may change at any time with or without cause.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, Engineering, or related discipline required.

  • Master's Degree in Technology, Analytics, or Business Leadership focus preferred.

  • Minimum twelve (12) years of progressive experience in data, analytics, or digital transformation leadership.

  • Minimum of five (5) years leading enterprise-scale data or analytics teams.

Any equivalent combination of experience and education which clearly indicates the ability to perform the essential functions of the position may substitute on a year for year basis.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Deep understanding of retail / consumer industry operating models (DTC, wholesale, merchandising, supply chain, planning, inventory lifecycle).

  • Ability to connect analytics initiatives directly to commercial KPIs and financial outcomes.

  • Strong business acumen with the ability to quickly understand industry nuances and market dynamics.

  • Visionary mindset with the ability to articulate a forward-looking analytics roadmap.

  • Expertise in enterprise data architecture, cloud data platforms, BI ecosystems, and integration frameworks.

  • Experience building governed semantic layers and standardized KPI frameworks.

  • Strong understanding of AI/ML enablement, data quality frameworks, and responsible AI governance.

  • Proven ability to influence executives and senior business leaders.

  • Experience building and scaling Centers of Excellence or enterprise capability functions.

  • Strong change management and communication skills.
