Job Description - Sr. Director, Electrification Operations

Responsibilities
Ability to motivate and mentor leaders/senior leaders, along with a variety of personnel involved in the installation of solar projects to create a positive, constructive, and performance driven environment

This position requires risk analysis, critical thinking and the ability to provide solutions to the benefit of the company, individual branches, and projects

Ability to evaluate and manage the resources and processes required for the successful completion of residential solar projects. Ensuring that the individual branches focus on Safety, Quality, Productivity, Capacity Utilization, Customer Service, and Profitability

Identify and Drive “Best Practices” throughout individual branch operations.

Ensure that business practices are standardized and shared throughout the region, accomplished by collaborating with counterparts (e.g. other regions or peers) to drive standardizations nationally.

Ability to understand and manage the Region’s performance to key performance metrics including regional forecast delivery

Demonstrated ability to set, communicate, and execute a multi-location strategy in a fast-moving, continually-changing construction organization

Drive continuous improvement throughout the region by working with Leadership and SMEs from Supply Chain, Permitting, Inspections, Sales, Quality, Safety, and Home Upgrades. Conduct weekly meetings with each group to identify areas of improvement and best practices. Weekly reporting to Chief Financial and Operating Officers (CFOOs) on plans and improvements

Utilize data to drive decision making, process improvement, and uncover performance, cost or quality opportunities.

Work closely with the Sales Leader(s) to understand sales performance trending and position resources as required by sales volume

Work to ensure that we are delivering an excellent customer experience and address escalated customer concerns as necessary

Negotiate solutions, resolve conflicts and provide solutions in the best interest of Sunrun, and our customers and employees

Assist in the training and mentoring of new members to the Operations Leadership Team

Assist the executive team of Sunrun Operations in Branch footprint and volume allocation strategy

Liaison for staffing decisions between other Branch verticals and Regional Leadership

Cultivate and promote a positive culture within the region – drive employee engagement, retention, and morale.

Assist the executive team of Sunrun Operations in performance based incentives

Assist in maintaining Build Partner relations throughout the territory

30-50% travel required

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

Minimum

of 8 years of professional experience with

minimum

of 3 years experience as a business leader with a strong background in analysis, continuous improvement, lean operations, and delivering training and best-in-class approaches to new and existing employees.

Minimum

of 1 year of prior experience managing leaders/managing managers is required.

Excellent skills in complex analytic problem solving, project management, change management, & group process. Must exhibit efficiency, collaboration, candor, openness, & results orientation

Former experience as a consultant or demonstrated focus area on productivity in industries with a large residential installation and services component is highly desired

Knowledge of safety program and policy design

Demonstrated a clear track record of working collaboratively with internal and external parties across all the company to drive collective success and has built key relationships, managed and mentored a strong team of high performers

Understanding of financial metrics and productivity measurements

Experience with the deployment of automated scheduling and dispatching tools, dynamic dispatch processes, and advanced tools for workforce planning and labor planning

Proven leadership skills in program/project management, lean continuous improvement, and ability to develop and manage a very large budget

Experience with technology including Salesforce, Oracle BI, installation/service scheduling tools that deploy teams of individuals for a project,GoogleSuite, Workday, and similar programs is expected

Track record of driving operational improvement distributed field organizations with 20-30% productivity improvements achieved, as well as track record in driving gains in safety measures, quality, and executing highly effective training programs is highly desired

Must maintain a clean driving record with the ability to pass a driving background check. Must be 21 years of age and possess a valid driver’s license

Candidates in locations outside this local area may have a different starting salary range for this opportunity which may be higher or lower.

Starting salary/wage for this opportunity:
$162,417.94 to $216,557.25

Other rewards may include annual bonus eligibility, which is based on company and individual performance, short and long term incentives, and program-specific awards. Sunrun provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and paid time off (PTO).
