Job Description - Sr. Director of Procurement

Overview
PURPOSE STATEMENT:
Hybrid: 4 days in office
Senior Director of Procurement- minimum ten (10) years of experience managing various RFx processes and negotiating product and service agreements. 10 years of leading a team of sourcing specialists.
Director of Procurement: 5-10 years: same as above with less years.
This position is responsible for the strategic development, direction, and leadership of specific service lines and categories of spend as assigned. This role works closely with, and leads a team of professionals including Sourcing Managers, Analysts, and other technical and subject matter experts. A successful candidate will develop a team to become a customer focused, high performing service provider across sourcing support, contracts, buying, supplier screening and onboarding services. The Procurement team is looking for a dynamic Sr. Director who will shape the overall direction and guidance for short and long range Capital Plans, connecting business level capital requirements to external performance metrics to ensure contracts are best-in-class while meeting customer needs. The Sr. Director of Procurement, is a dynamic and results-driven leader who will direct, develop, and implement the necessary functional and process competencies to plan, source, and purchase products and services. Key activities for this position include, developing category strategies, risk mitigation, market analysis, RFx development, negotiation, planning, competitive price and cost analysis, financial analysis, contract development and supplier management. We are looking for a passionate leader with a track-record of performance. The Sr. Director of Procurement will serve as de facto head of the department in the absence of the VP of Procurement. This role will be integral to developing the overall strategy of the procurement department to align with the business needs of the organization.
Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
* Develops and supports the overall vision, strategy, and execution plan for the CAPEX Sourcing function. Achieving deeper alignment with stakeholders to pursue business strategies in innovation, agility and supply reliability.
* Negotiate and execute master supply and service contracts and other critical agreements.
* Set priorities, remove obstacles for delivering on objectives, and ensure team is focused on providing value-added support that helps deliver strong financial performance
* Create the long-term vision for team priorities as well as obtain needed resources to support the business
* Champion process improvement initiatives across Acadia's portfolio of businesses
* Maintain a high degree of communication, cooperation and coordination with facility leadership, staff, and user departments
* Lead a team that will assist/manage Procurement functions, vendor selection and contracting processes for Corporate departments.
OTHER FUNCTIONS:
* Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree required
* Master's degree in Finance, Supply Chain or Business strongly preferred
* Candidate will have at a minimum ten (10) years of experience managing various RFx processes and negotiating product and service agreements
* Strong preference for candidates with sourcing experience in large healthcare organizations
* Ability to manage national sourcing initiatives and establish clear goals and accountabilities to ensure successful delivery
* Knowledge of legal terminology and language related to supplier and/or vendor agreements
* Knowledge of the healthcare supply chain terminology
* Must have excellent presentation, communication, and project management skills
* Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
