Sr. Director, Enterprise Payments Product Commercialization
The Commercialization Lead will define go-to-market strategies and partner with other cross-functional teams, to successfully launch and bring PayPal’s Enterprise Payment solutions to market globally. The Sr. Director will also be responsible for utilizing his/her industry, market and product expertise, to proactively educate the PayPal organization on product commercialization and go to market developments and opportunities to drive sell-in / usage, with respect to these solutions.
The Sr. Director, Enterprise Payments Product Commercialization will be a member of the Enterprise Product Growth team, which is responsible for bringing best in class Enterprise Payment solutions to market supporting client needs across Payments, Payouts, Risk and Value-Added-Services.
The Sr. Director, Enterprise Payments Product Commercialization is responsible for ensuring the successful, on-time externalization of new products and services. This role will function as the critical interface to manage commercial activities, updates, issue resolution, and general launch metrics across diverse cross-functional teams. The person in this role will own the operational and business go-to-market process and create the process for answering the how, the what, the why, and then when for new products and feature sets. The Sr. Director, Enterprise Payments Product Commercialization not only owns the entire end to end go-to-market process, partnering with the Sales and GTM teams, but is also responsible for how the launch is orchestrated across the company, and creates the support process for how the product launch rolls into the greater suite of products and services.
Responsibilities:
Develop an overall Financial Product GTM strategy and plan including:
Commercialization framework
Client segmentation / targeting criteria
Commercial constructs, terms, agreements and pricing structures
Pilot product commercialization framework and strategy, launch communications plan and overall execution
Launch and execution plan for general availability
Work with GTM, Sales Ops and Product Marketing to develop and disseminate materials to educate internal and external stakeholders on new product offerings
Orchestrate cross-functional coordination to execute pilots and formal product launches, as well as to accelerate product adoption
Manage a team of Commercial Leads and Project Managers to ensure effectiveness.
Qualifications:
15+ years’ of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
Payment Product development, deployment, management consulting or banking experience (4-6 years)
Skills:
Able to gain alignment and drive action through effective communication and influence
Superb interpersonal and communication skills, with an ability to handle challenging conversations with tact and diplomacy
Able to exercise independent judgment to identify and evaluate complex problems and implement solutions
Robust project management skills with demonstrated ability to facilitate discussion and team cohesion
Ensure that all launches are delivered on-time and on-strategy by enabling and driving communication and execution with cross-functional teams
Proactively manage, monitor, and escalate FXs with a holistic understanding of the project scope
Collaborate with stakeholders to navigate ideas and opportunities, assess needs, and define desired outcomes and goals to achieve cross-functional alignment on operational, marketing, and business aspects of the plan
Detect areas within the business to drive performance, program, and process improvements that accelerate execution
Work closely with the Product team to ensure that project plans can be effectively implemented and iterated, providing frontline feedback and innovative solutions
