Job Purpose

The role of Identity and Access Management Domain Architect is responsible for architecting solutions such as Identity governance and administration (IGA), privilege access management (PAM), access management (AM), cloud infrastructure entitlement management (CIEM) and customer identity and access management (CIAM).

This role is responsible to provide secure access to workforce, customer, IoT and non-human identities by ensuring the right individuals have access to the right resources at the right time for the right reasons.

Key Accountabilities

Identity and Access Management:

Knowledge of security administration; ability to manage access to computers, infrastructure, networks and applications.
Develops a strategy for Identity and Access to support a complex enterprise and develops guidelines for the usage, control, maintenance, and auditability of information and computer resources.
Designs and develops Identity Management, Role Based Access Control solutions, Workflows, Authentication, UI Customization, Rules and Policies.
Communicates, tests, audits and advises on onboarding and off-boarding activities with business and IT.

Cross-functional Collaboration : Knowledge of collaborative techniques and approaches; ability to promote a culture of continuous improvement and working together across functions to solve business problems and meet business goals.
Drive scope definition, requirements analysis, functional and technical design, application build, product configuration, unit testing, and production deployment
Provide technical expertise and ownership in the diagnosis and resolution of an issue, including the determination and provision of workaround solution or escalation to service owners.
Ensure delivered solutions are realized in time frame committed; work in conjunction with project sponsors to size and manage scope and risk

Technical Excellence:

Knowledge of a given technology and various application methods; ability to develop and provide solutions to significant technical challenges.
Collaborates extensively with Security Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC), security engineers, developers, vendors and business units to constantly improve the overall security posture.
Works with Enterprise Architecture to ensure development of IAM technology standard.
Works tandem with security architect to ensure IAM solution is integrated with other security services such as SIEM/UEBA and are in alignment with Enterprise Architecture standard.
Represents Enterprises Architecture by advocating and sharing knowledge.

Cybersecurity Standards and Policies:

Knowledge of developing cybersecurity policies, standards and procedures; ability to develop and communicate policies, standards and procedures that guide interactions with customers.
Follows efficient and effective auditing and compliance reporting.
Provides feedback for improvement of procedures and policies.

Qualifications, Experience, and Skills

.Minimum Educational Qualifications
Bachelors degree in computer science, systems analysis or a related study, or equivalent experience.

Skills:
5+ years of experience in IAM architecture and design, including hands-on experience with leading IAM technologies and solutions.
Strong understanding of authentication, authorization, and access control mechanisms.
Experience with major cloud IAM platforms (e.g., AWS IAM, Azure AD, Google Cloud IAM) is preferred.
Experience with IAM governance and compliance frameworks (e.g., NIST SP 800-53, ISO 27001) is a plus.
Related Certifications: CRISC, CISA, CISSP, CISM
Communicating Complex Concepts: Knowledge of effective presentation tools and techniques to ensure clear understanding; ability to use summarization and simplification techniques to explain complex technical concepts in simple, clear language appropriate to the audience.
Conceptual Thinking: Knowledge of thinking and reasoning at a conceptual level; ability to identify the critical ideas and interdependencies among system elements that impact performance.
Cybersecurity Expertise: Knowledge of the processes, tools, and techniques in the cybersecurity domain; ability to deploy and monitor cybersecurity measures, while detecting, controlling, and preventing cybersecurity breaches.
Hybrid Cloud: Knowledge of methods, techniques and processes related to hybrid cloud; ability to architect, build and deploy hybrid cloud for various business scenarios.
Technical Writing/Documentation: Knowledge of technical writing; ability to write technical documents such as manuals, reports, guidelines or documents on standards, processes and applications.
Domain Knowledge: Knowledge of a specific domain, its current trends, directions, and regulatory considerations; ability to apply domain-specific knowledge to relevant situations.
Producing Results: Understanding of the criticality of getting things done despite current circumstances and the ability to utilize assigned resources and leverage back-channel resources (individuals or teams) to achieve or exceed planned outcomes.
Cybersecurity Expertise: Knowledge of the processes, tools, and techniques in the cybersecurity domain; ability to deploy and monitor cybersecurity measures, while detecting, controlling and preventing cybersecurity breaches.
Information Security Architecture: Knowledge of information security architecture; ability to use the tools and techniques in creating software, hardware, networking, and application infrastructure for information security.
Requirements Analysis: Knowledge of tools, methods, and techniques of requirement analysis; ability to elicit, analyze and record required business functionality and non-functionality requirements to ensure the success of a system or software development project.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Knowledge of collaborative techniques and approaches; ability to promote a culture of continuous improvement and working together across functions to solve business problems and meet business goals.
Enterprise Architecture (EA): Knowledge of enterprise architecture; ability to develop, communicate and control methods and models for business processes, information systems and infrastructure
