We work tirelessly to earn the trust of our customers, because we know that working closely together leads to the highest quality outcomes. \n\n## The impact you\u2019ll make\n\nThe Senior Director, Business Development \u0026 Sales Operations China and SEA (BDSO) is a business leadership role accountable for delivering predictable business results, improving customer trust, and driving profitable growth through the disciplined execution of planning, commercial, and Value Focus processes for the China region. This role provides strategic and operational leadership to regional account teams, product and services business development groups, and order fulfillment stakeholders by ensuring alignment of priorities and objectives with both annual and multi\u2011year corporate business goals for the China region.\n\n## What you\u2019ll do\n\nEnable business objectives and differentiating sales strategies for multi-year profitable growth:\n\n * Lead GCO\u2019s Value Focus strategy implementation across all China region and SEA accounts, in alignment with Lam\u2019s long\u2011term business priorities and the Lam Management System.\n * Act as a senior partner to Sales, Product Groups, Operations, and executive leadership to enable growth, profitability, and customer success.\n * Translate global export and import rules into operational execution to ensure Lam\u2019s compliance with all governmental regulations while maintaining customer trust.\n\n\n\nCustomer Trust \u0026 Business Execution:\n\n * Continuously improve internal forecasting and planning methods to anticipate customer demand for Lam equipment, upgrades, and services.\n * Own improvement of customer trust metrics through speed to response, tool delivery planning systems, and effective management of customer escalations.\n * Enable successful customer ramps through on\u2011time tool deliveries, installations, and proactive issue resolution.\n * Ensure disciplined execution of Customer Delivery Experience (CDX) priorities across regions and accounts.\n\n\n\nProfitability \u0026 Commercial Excellence:\n\n * Drive profitable growth through disciplined execution of pricing, Value Focus (VF 2.0), and deal governance processes.\n * Ensure timely profitability modeling to support Strategic Account Reviews (SARs), quarterly execution reviews, and long\u2011range planning.\n * Deliver region\u2011specific pricing uplift and margin improvement commitments in partnership with Revenue Management and field leadership.\n\n\n\n## What you\u0027ll do (continued)\n\nPlanning, Forecasting \u0026 Operational Rigor:\n\n * Own demand planning and forecast integrity across systems and upgrades, including Max Demand View and upside planning horizons.\n * Ensure SRD, configuration, and execution stability through disciplined operating rhythms and cross\u2011functional alignment.\n * Lead the quarterly business cadence, including QBRs, QCRs, and forecast reviews, with accountability to enterprise commitments.\n\n\n\nShareholder Value \u0026 Commit Accountability:\n\n * Deliver shareholder value by meeting quarterly revenue and shipment commitments within defined forecast tolerance.\n * Drive higher efficiency across GCO through improved systems, tools (including AI\u2011enabled capabilities), and standardized processes.\n * Ensure execution of approved digital transformation and business process initiatives aligned with AOP priorities.\n\n\n\nOrganization \u0026 Talent Development:\n\n * Build and lead a scalable, globally distributed BDSO organization capable of supporting sustained multi\u2011year growth.\n * Ensure effective hiring, onboarding, and role assimilation so new hires assume full ownership within defined timeframes.\n * Develop leadership capability, promote an inclusive culture, and achieve engagement and inclusion outcomes at or above Lam/GCO benchmarks.\n\n\n\n## Who we\u2019re looking for\n\n * Senior leadership experience in semiconductor capital equipment customer\u2011facing roles in sales (product or services), business planning/operations, product or services marketing, or related commercial roles.\n * Proven track record of delivering predictable business results through structured operating cadences and cross\u2011functional execution.\n * Strong commercial acumen, including pricing, margin management, and deal governance.\n * Experience leading global, distributed teams in complex operating environments.\n * Fluency in Mandarin required\n\n\n\n## Preferred qualifications\n\n * Experience operating at the executive or managing director level within a global semiconductor equipment company.\n * Demonstrated success leading large\u2011scale organizational change or process transformation.\n * Strong executive communication and stakeholder management skills.\n\n\n\n## Our commitment\n\nWe believe it is important for every person to feel valued, included, and empowered to achieve their full potential. Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories \u2013 On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. \u2018On-site Flex\u2019 you\u2019ll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. \u2018Virtual Flex\u2019 you\u2019ll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.\n\n#LI-DM1\n\nSalary\n\nCA San Francisco Bay Area Salary Range for this position: $175,000.00 - $389,000.00.\n\nThe above salary range for this position is relevant to applicants that reside or work onsite in the California, San Francisco Bay Area only. Salary offers will depend on factors that include the location you work from, your level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience and comparison to other employees already in this role.
