Sr. Drain Cleaning Technician

About the Role
The Drain Cleaning Technician is responsible for servicing, repairing, and maintaining drainage systems in various commercial and industrial facilities. This includes medical institutions, manufacturing sites, data centers, commercial buildings, warehouses, and other large-scale properties. The technician must be skilled in using specialized equipment such as hydro jetting machines, drain augers, and camera inspection tools. This role also involves training junior technicians, ensuring safety compliance, maintaining equipment, and providing excellent customer service to clients. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform drain cleaning using jetters, mechanical snakes, and video inspections.
• Diagnose and resolve blockages, grease buildup, and pipe issues.
• Maintain and troubleshoot drainage equipment, ensuring repairs are completed promptly.
• Follow OSHA safety standards and company policies, including confined space entry and hazardous material handling.
• Provide expert service and communicate solutions to clients.
• Accurately document work in the CMMS system, including service details and recommendations.
• Train and mentor junior technicians, assisting in SOP development.
• Respond to emergency service calls, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications:

• OSHA 10 certification required (OSHA 30, confined space entry preferred).
• 5+ years of experience in drain cleaning, preferably in commercial/industrial settings.
• Proficiency with hydro-jetters, augers, and camera inspection systems.
• Ability to safely operate a trailer-mounted jetter (CDL is a plus).
• Strong problem-solving and customer service skills.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean record.
• Must pass a background check and drug screening.

Physical Requirements:

• Lift up to 75 lbs, work in confined spaces, heights, and various weather conditions.
• Frequent standing, kneeling, climbing, and manual dexterity to operate equipment.
• Ability to wear PPE, including respirators and safety gear.
