Position Summary
Perform electrical engineering and instrumentation and control system analyses, design, and calculations. Take a lead position in the preparation, performance, and on-time and on schedule completion of project work. Provide complete task-based estimates for work to be accomplished. Document and report findings in a clear and concise manner for proposal, project, and Department use. Plan, lead, and participate in project and client meetings.
Essential Responsibilities
Perform electrical engineering, design, and calculations supportive to the Company’s project business.
Develop electrical proposal strategy for new retrofit projects. This includes review client specifications for scope and clarifications.
Provide complete and accurate labor hours and materials estimates for projects, including development of new and/or improved products
Participate in project team and client meetings, as needed
Monitor the work product of vendors, including schedule, scope requirements, technical review of deliverables, and manage deviations using Company Deviation Management System
Identify/develop and use tools and techniques that improve the accuracy and/or efficiency of Department and project work
Follow all Company and Department ISO Procedures and Work Instructions
Evaluate previous methodology and results to establish Lessons Learned, design factors, comparative values, and modify or develop engineering tools, procedures and Standards
Partner with the project management team and the project team, customers and vendors to ensure successful project outcomes.
Plan, specify, design and oversee the engineering of electrical systems, and departmental deliverables for proposals and project
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in electrical or other applicable Engineering discipline
8+ years’ applicable experience in control systems and electrical systems design and start up, and application in an industrial plant environment,
Professional Engineering License
Knowledge of best practices in applying NFPA / NEC, UL, IEEE, ISA, IEC and other electrical codes and standards applicable to controls and electrical system design and installation
Experience with power distribution software such as ETAP or SKM
AutoCAD experience to develop electrical schematic and single line drawings.
Demonstrated excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
Demonstrated excellent analytical and computer skills including proficiency in use of Word, Excel, and databases

Final offers may vary based on multiple factors including education, depth and relevance of work experience, relevant licenses and certifications, and may vary from the amounts listed in the job posting.
The range for this role is $137,000.00 - $190,000.00
