Sr, Electrical Estimator

Description

• Lead the preparation of detailed and accurate electrical cost estimates for complex 

projects

• Analyze blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to prepare comprehensive 

bid packages

• Manage supplier and subcontractor relationships to obtain optimal pricing and 

performance

• Evaluate technical data, cost trends, and risk assessments to support strategic decisions

• Supervise and mentor junior estimators and assist in team development

• Collaborate with project management, engineering, and executive leadership to align on 

scope and cost objectives

• Present estimates and proposals to clients and internal stakeholders with 

professionalism and clarity

• Conduct site visits and consultations as required for pre-construction assessments

• Ensure estimates comply with current industry regulations and standards

• Maintain thorough documentation and support audit and compliance processes

Requirements

• Minimum 5- 7 years of experience in electrical estimating or a senior construction role

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; degree in Electrical Engineering, 

Construction Management, or related field preferred

• Familiarity with national electrical codes and standards (NEC, NFPA, etc.)

• Strong leadership skills with experience mentoring or managing junior staff

• Deep understanding of electrical systems, installation techniques, and cost analysis

• Proficiency with estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite

• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills

• Strong organizational and time management abilities

• Valid Driver’s License

• Must pass a background check, motor vehicle record check, and drug screening, travel as needed
