Sr Engineer, High Voltage Cable Design

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop high voltage underground cable systems, including grounding and bonding schemes.

• Utilize Cymcap software to model and analyze cable ampacity and thermal performance.

• Provide complete cable design packages with detailed technical documentation.

• Collaborate with clients to gather requirements, provide updates, and ensure design specifications meet project needs.

• Prepare and deliver formal technical presentations to clients and stakeholders.

• Support project teams with design input throughout planning, execution, and review stages.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in high voltage underground cable design—minimum 10 years preferred, but equivalent and relevant experience will be considered.

• Strong working knowledge of Cymcap software.

• Demonstrated ability to develop grounding and bonding schemes in complex electrical systems.

• Exceptional communication and client-facing skills.

• Ability to clearly present technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.

• Professional Engineer (PE) license is a plus.

• Experience working in a consulting or utility environment.
