As a Qualcomm Wearables Software Engineering Lead, you will design, develop, create, modify, and validate next generation technologies \u0026 platforms enabling the future of Wearable devices. Qualcomm Wearables Software Engineers collaborate with systems, hardware, architecture, test engineers, and other teams to design system-level software solutions and obtain information on performance requirements and interfaces.\n\nQualcomm is seeking a hands-on Wearables Software Engineer to develop, integrate, and validate embedded software for next-generation wearable devices. This role focuses on end-to-end development, system integration, build, validation, and customer enablement across multiple technologies.\n\nThis position may be based in San Diego CA, with occasional travel for technical discussions and customer meetings.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\n\u00b7 Develop and integrate embedded software using C and C++\n\n\u00b7 Work across connectivity technologies including Bluetooth, WLAN, UWB, and BLE\n\n\u00b7 Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define use cases, data flows, and HW/SW partitioning\n\n\u00b7 Translate requirements into software designs and implementation\n\n\u00b7 Manage code using Git, including multi-repo projects\n\n\u00b7 Develop on Linux-based platforms, preferably using Yocto/Poky\n\n\u00b7 Drive system integration, build generation, and on-device validation\n\n\u00b7 Debug and resolve complex HW/SW issues\n\n\u00b7 Support customer hardware and software bring-up\n\n\u00b7 Participate in code reviews, testing, and issue triage to ensure software quality\n\nMinimum Qualifications:\n\n\u2022 Bachelor\u0027s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience. \nOR \nMaster\u0027s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 1+ year of Software Engineering or related work experience. \nOR \nPhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field. \n \n\u2022 2+ years of academic or work experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\n\n\u00b7 Bachelor\u2019s degree and 3+ years of software engineering experience or Master\u2019s degree and 2+ years or PhD and 1+ year\n\n\u00b7 3+ years of programming experience in C, C++, or similar languages\n\n\u00b7 Working experience with connectivity Bluetooth, WLAN, UWB, and BLE\n\nQualcomm is an equal opportunity employer.
