Hearth & Home Technologies is looking for an Engineering Technician to join our Fireplaces Business Unit in Lake City, MN. We are the nation’s leading manufacturer and supplier of hearth products, including a wide variety of gas, electric, wood and pellet burning fireplaces, inserts, stoves, and accessories. The Fireplaces Business Unit is one of our key business units within Hearth & Home Technologies, featuring leading brands such as Heat & Glo, Majestic, Heatilator, and more. This business unit is dedicated to advancing fireplace technology and design, reflecting our commitment to exceptional quality and comfort.     

Your role as an Engineering Technician 

• Prototyping units and testing product to the appropriate ANSI Standard
• Developing processes, fabricating carts, jigs, fixtures, and production aids that support New Product Development and cost savings projects
• Lead small, incremental product and process changes to improve consumer products and internal processes
• Work collaboratively with a team environment to solve problems and meet timelines
• Demonstrate accuracy in test set up and data collection 

Education & Experience 

• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum 5 years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience 

Preferred Skills 

• Operate manufacturing equipment such as press brake, welders, Laser/Turrets, sheet metal formers, 3-D printers, etc.

Hearth & Home Technologies benefits are subject to eligibility requirements.

You will be eligible to participate in the Cash Profit-Sharing program after one year of employment. Annually, this program distributes cash (provided the company realizes its operating income goal for the period) quarterly and is based upon eligible earnings.  While these payments vary and are not guaranteed, in 2024 our average profit sharing was $5,250 per member.
