Compensation: $58.00 - $62.00 per hour (commensurate based on experience)

As a Senior Ergonomics and Safety Consultant, initially you'll be working approximately 20 hours per week with one of our largest clients for ergonomics support at their large manufacturing campus in St. Louis, MO.

Your Responsibilities As a Senior Ergonomics And Safety Consultant
Provides comprehensive ergonomics and safety consulting services to clients.
Ergonomics: the primary focus area is Industrial / Shop Floor Ergonomics – but Office Ergonomics skills are also required.
Safety: this role will be expected to provide the full spectrum of safety and accident prevention consulting services
In close routine collaboration with the external customer, designs, implements and executes an agreed-to service plan. Monitors and reports progress on plan completion as directed. Works with numerous internal and external stakeholders in the interest of achieving desired overall project velocity.
Acts as a senior advisor to the customer on ergonomics and employee safety issues.
In collaboration with overall Apex client relationship managers, coordinates and executes the implementation of multiple and/or complex client projects within set organizational procedures and standards.
Leads and directs the work of others as needed as well as the opportunity to mentor junior Apex staff.
Works closely with the overall client relationship manager to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
Provides clients with customized reports/deliverables.

What We're Looking For
BS in Science, Health or Safety or other related field, with education and training in the field of ergonomics.
Professional accreditation such as Certified Professional Ergonomist (CPE), Certified Industrial Ergonomist (CIE), or Certified Safety Professional (CSP) beneficial but not required.
At least 8 years of experience in a related field or in a similar technical role preferred.
Aerospace and manufacturing industry experience desired.
Possess extensive knowledge of ergonomics and safety technical subject matter and how to apply it in real-life settings. Highly familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the ergonomics and safety field.
Strong project management experience
Ability to interact with all staff/clients/contractors in a professional manner
Solid Report writing skills and organizational skills
Strong verbal and presentation skills
Extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
Ability to ensure compliance with all environmental, health, and safety regulations, and keeps abreast of any changes to laws and regulations that impact the organization.
A great deal of creativity and self-starter initiative is required. This position entails routine ongoing work and negotiation with numerous customer stakeholders – all of whom need to be ‘satisfied’ with respect to project purpose, scope, and tactics.
