Sr. Field Engineer

We are seeking a Sr. Field Engineer to join our team. This role is responsible for all aspects of product, material, and system validation for vibration isolation and seismic/noise control products. The position combines project coordination, in-house and external lab testing, and field engineering support for projects annually. This role requires strong technical judgment, hands-on testing experience, and the ability to manage projects across multiple stakeholders, including customers, sales representatives, and global lab partners.

Responsibilities not limited to:

1. Project & Field Responsibilities

• Lead projects from intake to completion, ensuring all required documentation and details are secured.
• Write and execute project test plans based on engineering analysis and project scope.
• Coordinate and manage external shake testing of nonstructural building components.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for customers and labs, proactively managing expectations and timelines.
• Support sales teams with technical input during quoting processes.

2. Lab Testing Responsibilities

• Conduct and oversee testing at the Bloomingdale, NJ facility and global partner labs, including:
  • Compressor testing
  • Tension description testing
  • Rubber component testing
  • Seismic/shake table testing
     
• Plan, prepare, and execute test setups, ensuring proper tools and equipment are in place.
• Perform material acceptance, diagnostic, calibration, and functional tests.
• Modify and prepare mechanical test fixtures as required.
• Collect and analyze test data; produce clear, professional reports documenting results and outcomes.
• Identify and resolve errors in customer drawings, fixture designs, or engineering calculations.

 Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: 

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering preferred (due to advanced math requirements). Engineering Technicians with strong field and lab testing experience will also be considered.  
• Field support and testing experience in vibration isolation, seismic, or noise control products.  
• Familiarity with MIL Standards and AC156 standards.  
• Hands-on experience with seismic/shake table testing and lab-based test execution.  
• Ability to prepare, modify, and calibrate test fixtures and equipment.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.  
  • Excellent documentation and technical writing abilities.  
  • Effective communicator, able to manage customer expectations and collaborate across teams.  
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally
