Senior Financial Analyst, Purchasing/Procurement

Position Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategically minded Senior Financial Analyst to join our clients' Purchasing Analysis team. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in forecasting, analyzing, and modeling the financial outcomes of our purchasing activities. This position requires a proactive approach to working closely with buyers and purchasing leadership, aiming to quantify and communicate the impacts of purchasing decisions at both product and brand levels to the relevant stakeholders within the organization.
Senior Financial Analyst, Purchasing/Procurement

Position Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategically minded Senior Financial Analyst to join our clients' Purchasing Analysis team. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in forecasting, analyzing, and modeling the financial outcomes of our purchasing activities. This position requires a proactive approach to working closely with buyers and purchasing leadership, aiming to quantify and communicate the impacts of purchasing decisions at both product and brand levels to the relevant stakeholders within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct detailed financial analyses ranging from routine to complex scenarios, adhering to established procedures, departmental guidelines, and regulatory standards.
Simplify and communicate intricate financial data and its implications to encourage value-adding behaviors across the team.
Maintain proactive communication with key business partners, effectively presenting findings and insights.
Utilize advanced data analysis techniques to assess the financial implications of proposed business initiatives, ensuring data-driven decision-making.
Generate, prepare, and coordinate a range of financial analyses, reports, and presentations for weekly, monthly, and/or year-end reviews, catering to management's needs.
Actively contribute to meetings by providing insightful analysis that highlights successes and identifies opportunities for improvement.
Offer guidance and mentorship on key processes, leveraging extensive business and financial expertise.
Efficiently manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines and organizational goals.
Detect emerging trends within the financial landscape of purchasing activities, communicating their potential impacts to ensure strategic alignment and prioritization of actions.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

A minimum of 3-5+ years of experience in financial analysis and reporting, with a track record of increasing responsibility within complex financial environments.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with the ability to manipulate and analyze large data sets.
Exceptional analytical skills paired with a keen eye for detail, the initiative to explore data, and the flexibility to adapt analyses based on findings.
Experience in project management, demonstrating the ability to lead projects from conception through completion.
Strong communication skills, with the capacity to convey complex financial concepts in a clear and actionable manner to diverse audiences.
A collaborative team player with the ability to forge strong relationships and work effectively with business partners and teams across the organization.
