This role supports a joint venture with our partner company, Dayton Group Inc (DGI). DGI-ATI (JV) has an immediate full time opening for a senior-level Industrial Hygienist (IH) and Registered Sanitarian (RS or REHS) with a minimum of seven (7) to ten (10) years IH project management experience. This IH position will be part of a team on a Federal contract in Arlington, Virginia. This role involves working in secure environments in support of mission-critical operations.


 


Duties and Responsibilities



  • Senior Level Industrial Hygiene project manager to oversee IH projects to ensure product quality and timeliness.

  • Support Government Registered Sanitarian, for inspect, assess, and evaluate new and existing food service facilities, conduct foodborne illness investigations, vulnerability assessments, and food recall oversight, IAW the Tri Service Food Code (TSFC) and FDA criteria.

  • Lead comprehensive indoor air quality studies in an office environment.

  • Support industrial hygiene field studies related to workers or tenant’s exposures, including, but not limited to air, water, and noise sampling, illumination, ventilation surveys, Indoor Air Quality, ergonomic studies, radiation, heat stress and other related studies.

  • Prepare detailed IH reports summarizing findings and recommended corrective actions. (Using Word, Excel and PowerPoint.)

  • Peer review reports for accuracy and provide coaching to Mid-Level & Junior IHS staff.

  • Oversee operation and maintenance of IH instruments.

  • Research and upkeep safety and health operational standards and guidelines, and IH sampling methods.

  • Maintain and build client relationships and mentor Mid-Level & Junior IH staff. Create, clarify, and enforce company policies, procedures, objectives, and priorities.

  • Respond to emergent “Hot Calls”, provide advice for corrective action.

  • Support ergonomic assessments and make recommendations and follow up with tenants.

  • Perform office safety assessments and maintain master list of locations and POC’s.


 


Requirements



  • Clean credit and no criminal history. Prefer to have had a federal CAC in recent past.

  • S. Citizenship

  • Able to crawl, climb over obstacles, conduct extended periods of walking, on uneven surfaces such as ramps, rooftops and able to climb ladders without assistance.

  • Able to enter confined space or work on high-elevation task locations.

  • BS or advanced degree in engineering, science, or other related discipline from an accredited university.

  • Ten (10) years directly related Industrial Hygiene experience. Or seven (7) years directly related experience with an advanced degree and applicable board certification.

  • Four (4) years directly implementing a food service sanitation program and possess current and valid REHS or RS certification.

  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain clearance.


 


Job Type: Full-time


 


Location: Arlington, VA


 


Working Hours: Normal Work Hours – Monday – Friday (anticipate 40 per week).
