Who we are looking for:

Atkore is seeking an ambitious, driven, and team-oriented professional who is looking to grow into the technical sales space. Reporting directly to the Vice President of Technical Sales, this person partner with the Technical Sales Managers (TSMs) by providing administrative support and data analysis as you work with our customers. Furthermore, this person will have an opportunity to use their technical background in a practical way to drive results and launch a long-term career with a growing company.

What you'll do:

Work in partnership with the TSMs to drive demand through project, contractor, and end-user lead management.

Support Sales Managers and Reps with technical data, take-offs, and competitive material cross reference

Assist in cross-selling and up-selling Atkore technical services and solutions.

Manage a funnel of opportunities by leveraging CRM and industry tools, such as Dodge.

Maintain contacts and sales activities in Salesforce.com.

Generate, deliver, and close transactional quotes on behalf of Sales Managers and Reps

Proactively contact electrical contractors and engineering firms to assess needs and build relationships.

Assist the Sales Managers in creating, updating, and executing formal and informal presentations to electrical contractors, end-users, and specifiers.

Help staff Atkore displays at various trade shows around the country.

Manage the scheduling and the movements between Regions for the two mobile showrooms.

At times, with or without a Technical Sales Managers, staff the mobile showroom to present Atkore Electrical Products to customers at their locations.

Perform take-off work from customers designs and drawings both manually and automated with software like Bluebeam.

Create 3D CAD sketches to provide conceptual design solutions to customers using Atkore electrical products using AutoCAD, Trimble, etc.

Advise customers with feedback and recommendations on their designs to install Atkore electrical products.

What you'll bring:

Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or a related field.

5+ years of work experience role within a business environment

3+ years of commercial or technical experience working directly with products in the electrical raceway.

Strong computer system skills related to Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access, PowerPoint, Etc.) and an ability to effectively work within SalesForce.com.

Strong ability to communicate with customers and assess customer needs.

Knowledge/experience within the electrical sales or electrical trades preferred.

Desire to grow a career in the electrical sales space.

Within 3 months, you'll:

Complete your new hire "Immersion" so you are ready to go.

Develop relationships with the key stakeholders for this role.

Have a strong understanding of Atkore's products and their application.

Within 6-months, you'll:

Be able to navigate Atkore systems, for example, Salesforce, Concur Expense & Travel, Cyber Security, Atkore University, Atkore Rep Portal, Literature Portal, and UltiPro HR Portal.

Have a strong understanding of Atkore's businesses, markets, customers and strategic direction.

Have enough product training to begin supporting product presentations to Electrical Contractors and Engineers.

Within 12-months, you'll:

Be capable of strategically selecting opportunities and driving priorities.

Win and convert business in Atkore's focused product categories with new accounts.

Support specifications reviews with Engineering Firms in your Region for all of Atkore Electrical Products (EP).

Have knowledge of the major competitive products to sell the advantages of Atkore EP features and benefits.
