Job Description - Sr/ Lead Autonomous Robotic Systems Engineer

We are seeking a talented and experienced

Sr/ Lead Autonomous Robotic Systems Engineer

to join our innovative team. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for designing, integrating, and testing cutting-edge autonomous robotic systems. Your primary focus will be on ensuring safety, reliability, and performance through the design and implementation of robust system architectures and rigorous testing protocols.

Location: Ridgewood , NJ
Employment Type: Fulltime
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the development of prototypes for Complex robotic systems, overseeing testing and validation processes, and driving iterative improvements to enhance performance, reliability, and functionality.
Ensure adherence to industry-specific standards and regulatory requirements for hardware components. Select

hardware components

based on end-user location and industry specifications.
Develop advanced control algorithms for robotic systems, leveraging

sensors, actuators , and feedback mechanisms to achieve

precise control

and intelligent behavior.
Ensure hardware compliance by staying abreast of industry standards and regulations, incorporating them into the design and development processes.
Utilize end-to-end prototyping methods, including

3D printing, CNC machining, laser cutting , and optionally

PCB fabrication and assembly.
Utilize advanced

plastics additive manufacturing techniques

for

rapid prototyping.
Apply material science expertise to optimize design and functionality of prototypes.
Demonstrate proficiency in mechanical design principles, encompassing joint mechanisms, Design for Assembly (DFA), and Design for Manufacturing (DFM).
Utilize a thorough understanding of interpreting and utilizing 3D design files to ensure precision and efficiency in design processes.
Execute User Acceptance Testing (UAT), commissioning, and client demonstrations at various locations, ensuring the seamless integration and operational excellence of the deployed product.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Robotics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
Proven experience in robotics engineering, with a focus on developing and delivering Commercial grade robotic systems for in manufacturing or healthcare industry preferred.
Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, or MATLAB for control algorithm development.
Experience with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor) for mechanical design and simulation.
Proficiency in utilizing prototyping methods such as 3D printing, CNC machining, and laser cutting.
Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to robotics and automation.
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Experience with project management methodologies and tools is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience in developing robotic systems for warehouse automation or logistics applications.
