The role as the Lead RMA Engineer is to oversee a team of RMA process engineers and work on upcoming development programs.\n\nRole Description \u0026 Responsibilities:\n\n\u00b7 Collaborate with multiple disciplines to meet program deadlines\n\n\u00b7 Drive concurrent engineering principles within the team\n\n * Mentor/develop the process engineers within the RMA process engineering team\n\n * Peer review new and modified RMA planning, PFMEA\u2019s, CONOPS, MBOMs and other Process Engineering deliverables for the RMA PcEing Team\n\n * Attend Design, Tooling and Facility drawing reviews for sign off\n\n * Instrumental in creating/reviewing FEO/TCN design criteria for new/modified tooling, facilities and equipment\n\n * Actively participate in Cause and Corrective action teams to identify root cause for issues related to RMA processes\n\n * Ensures RMA team follows the SA-22 and OP-62 process for all changes\n\n * Focal point for design changes related to RMA processes\n\n * Initiate/Run quarterly manufacturing assessment reviews\n\n * Initiate regular Statistical Process Control (SPC) meetings to ensure data is reviewed and within historical family limits to understand the risk and ensure data-driven decision making\n\n * Present and communicate on manufacturing investigations\n\n * Prepare/coordinate estimates for proposals for the RMA team\n\n * Oversee the progress on development programs\n\n * Maintain oversight of RMA operational functions and provide status/updates to leadership team\n\n * Program(s) and VSET Leader Point of Contact (POC) for RMA process engineering support\n\n * Ability to obtain ORI Chairman qualification\n\n\n\n\nAs a full-time employee of Northrop Grumman Space Systems, you are eligible for our robust benefits package, including:\n\n * Medical, Dental \u0026 Vision coverage\n\n * 401k\n\n * Educational Assistance\n\n * Life Insurance\n\n * Employee Assistance Programs \u0026 Work/Life Solutions\n\n * Paid Time Off\n\n * Health \u0026 Wellness Resources\n\n * Employee Discounts\n\n\n\n\n \nThis position\u2019s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.\n\nBasic Qualification:\n\n * B.S. degree in Chemical, Mechanical Engineering, or Manufacturing Engineering (other technical degrees may be considered) and a minimum of 8 years of experience; 6 years with master\u2019s degree\n\n * Manufacturing/Process Engineering RMA experience\n\n * Experience with Design of Experiment (DOE), Statistical Process Control (SPC), 6 sigma concepts for process development and control\n\n * Ability to motivate and guide teams and activities without having formal \u201cownership\u201d of the staff supporting those activities.\n\n * Experience in MS Office software applications and other NG software (eg. ESI, Doc Shop, TCUA, etc)\n\n * Ability to obtain and maintain a US Secret Security Clearance\n\n * US Citizenship is required.\n\n\n\n\n# Preferred Qualifications\n\n * Deep hands-on experience of the RMA manufacturing process\n\n * Proven ability to lead a multi discipline team\n\n * Expert level of command media to meet deliverables\n\n * Ability to complete proposals with rigorous timelines\n\n * Proficiency in leading teams to deliver complex projects on time\n\n * Translating long-term program goals into a technical roadmap that anticipates future growth\n\n * Facilitates alignment across RMA engineers to ensure project transparency and goal consistency\n\n * Takes full end-to-end ownership of program RMA objectives\n\n * Strong communication skills across multiple disciplines\n\n\n\n\n\u00b7 Skilled at steering multiple complex initiatives simultaneously from conception to delivery\n\n\u00b7 Experience in Lean Manufacturing Techniques\n\n * Experience working with energetic materials and processes.\n\n\n\n\nPrimary Level Salary Range: $122,800.00 - $184,200.00\n\nThe above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate\u0027s experience, education, skills and current market conditions.\n\nDepending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
