Job Description - Sr. Linux System Engineer

Design, install, configure, deploy, and monitor Linux servers

Troubleshoot applications and OS related issues
Develop automation scripts for routine tasks
Proactively manage performance tuning
Perform system updates, server installations and general maintenance
Work with protocols such as FTPS, SSH, SMTP, LDAP, NFS, HTTPS
Document platform configuration and associated processes
Respond within defined SLA requirements in relation to system issues
Understanding and practice security concepts on -premises and cloud
Make recommendations, justify, and implement improvements using an accepted change control methodology.
Define, document and follow standards and best practices for systems design, testing, and implementation.
Acquire & coordinate resources from other groups as needed to resolve customer issues.
Actively mentor junior system administrator personnel and reinforce adoption of best practices
