As we continue to grow, we're seeking Maintenance Technicians at multiple experience levels to help support our engineering, manufacturing, and battery cell production facilities in Fargo, North Dakota.
This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced, high-tech manufacturing environment and contribute to one of the first lithium-ion battery cell manufacturing operations of its kind in the United States.
Position Summary
As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and improving manufacturing equipment and facility systems to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations. You'll work closely with manufacturing, engineering, and facilities teams to minimize downtime, support new equipment installations, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
We are hiring at multiple levels and encourage candidates with varying levels of maintenance experience to apply.
What You'll Do
- Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on facility and production equipment.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and automated systems.
- Support facility utility systems, including HVAC, air handling units (AHUs), dehumidification units (DHUs), compressed air systems, chillers, vacuum systems, and nitrogen systems.
- Respond to equipment issues and emergency maintenance requests to minimize production downtime.
- Assist with installation, startup, commissioning, and qualification of new manufacturing equipment.
- Troubleshoot and maintain highly automated manufacturing equipment.
- Conduct routine inspections, lubrication, adjustments, calibrations, and component replacements.
- Read and interpret mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, manuals, and technical documentation.
- Accurately document maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment performance in maintenance management systems.
- Support spare parts inventory management and preventive maintenance scheduling.
- Collaborate with equipment suppliers, contractors, engineers, and production personnel.
- Participate in continuous improvement efforts focused on safety, quality, reliability, and operational efficiency.
- Follow all company safety, environmental, and quality standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
- Maintenance experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or related environment.
- Strong troubleshooting skills involving mechanical and electrical systems.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and equipment manuals.
- Experience using standard hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with PLCs, automation systems, or highly automated manufacturing equipment.
- Knowledge of industrial utility systems, including HVAC, compressed air, vacuum, chillers, and nitrogen systems.
- Experience supporting production equipment in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
- Technical degree, certification, or related training in maintenance, industrial technology, mechatronics, or a related field.

- Willingness to work flexible schedules, shifts, overtime, or on-call assignments as needed to support manufacturing operations.
