Sr. Maintenance Technician / Group Lead

Hearth and Home Technologies is the world’s largest manufacturer of hearth products (gas, electric and wood burning fireplaces, as well as Stoves) with a long history of exceptional products and customer satisfaction.

This  SR Maintenance Technician / Group Lead position in Lake City, MN is 2nd Shift Monday through Thursday (core hours are 4:30PM – 2:30AM). We will also consider Monday through Friday (4:30PM - 1:00AM).

Responsibilities  

• Responsible for sustainability and effectiveness of preventative maintenance programs for facility equipment.
• Trains and directs others on site on essential duties of positions.
• Work with a high level of self-direction. Internal customers include product line/focus factory management, design engineering, and manufacturing engineering.
• Assist all members with repairs or modifications to plant equipment or facilities according to requirements.
• Responsible for all plant-wide maintenance requirements, report or recommend needed steps.

Qualifications  

• Associate Degree in industrial electronics or related field
• 3 or more years of experience in implementing new control systems OR 2 years post high school general electrical course designed for a person preparing to be a licensed journeyman electrician and 2 years of electrical wiring experience.
• Electronic Technician or Class A Journeyman Electrician with commercial and industrial experience a plus.
• Strong mechanical and electrical experience (Automation, PLC, Low/High voltage, Pneumatics and Hydraulics).
• Proven ability in industrial maintenance or mechanical trades experience
• Proven trouble shooting and problem-solving skills.
• Must be able to read and interpret highly technical or complex data, information, electrical and hydraulic schematics, and project drawings.
• Must possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to communicate and work well with all levels of members within the facility both individually and in a team environment.
• Ability to interface with line operators to assist with repairs and troubleshooting.
• Ability to train others in the department.
