Job Description - Sr Manager, Clinical Supply Chain

Overview\n\n \n\nWe are seeking an experienced professional for the role of Senior Manager, Clinical Supply Chain In this position you will play a critical role in ensuring seamless execution of clinical supply operations across multiple programs. You will hold program-level ownership and trial-level leadership for clinical supply delivery, ensuring reliable, compliant, and uninterrupted supply of clinical trial material to sites worldwide, in support of Alnylam\u2019s growing pipeline and patient needs.\n\n \n\nThis role provides both leadership and hands-on execution. You will support CSC team members in operational delivery while also serving as a senior individual contributor for complex or large scale studies when needed. The Senior Manager will collaborate closely with senior CSC leaders to maintain robust, compliant and effective operational processes. You will partner cross\u2011functionally with Quality Assurance, Clinical Operations, Program Management, and Regulatory Affairs, and external CMOs, to drive successful trial execution in a dynamic environment. Strong, proactive communication is essential, as the role interfaces regularly with internal stakeholders and external partners. Overall, you will be responsible for supporting CSC team members, overseeing supply execution, identifying and mitigating risks, and ensuring clinical supply program objectives are met efficiently throughout the lifecycle of assigned studies and programs.\n\n \n\nThis position is well-suited for professionals with experience supporting large, global clinical studies or multiple concurrent trials in a fast-paced, cross-functional setting.\n\n \n\nYou will focus on overseeing programs, protocols, and CSC team members as you manage the global supply of essential clinical materials, prioritize needs, and maintain operational excellence. Your ability to communicate clearly, collaborate effectively, and navigate complex operational challenges will be key to success.\n\n \n\nThis position is hybrid and will be primarily located in the Alnylam Cambridge office.\n\n \n\nKey Responsibilities\n\n\u00b7 Accountable and/or responsible for clinical supply related activities for assigned program(s) and/or protocol(s) including, but not limited to execution of supply strategy, IRT setup \u0026 management, packaging, labeling, distribution, returns, destruction, and study closeout.\n\n\u00b7 Drive issue resolution across vendors and internal teams, balancing speed, quality, and compliance\n\n\u00b7 Identify, assess, and manage execution-related risks at the program and trial levels\n\n\u00b7 Provide program-specific insights, emerging risks, and execution details to Clinical Supply Chain Strategic Planners to ensure effective supply plan\n\n\u00b7 Support and mentor CSC team members as needed on operational execution of clinical supply activities\n\n\u00b7 Ensure all program goals and objectives are met on time \u0026 monitored across the course of the study, from a clinical supplies perspective (e.g. FSA, FPI, enrollment progress)\n\n\u00b7 Support inspection readiness for assigned program(s) and/or protocol(s) and department processes.\n\n\u00b7 Ensure current systems \u0026 procedures are aligned with current regulations \u0026 industry standards.\n\n\u00b7 Responsible for program budget and long range budget planning for assigned programs.\n\n\u00b7 Engage with CMO, CRO, \u0026 key suppliers that support systems, production \u0026 distribution.\n\n\u00b7 People Management \u2013 direct and indirect\n\n \n\n \n\nQualifications\n\n\u00b7 B.Sc. in a scientific field or Supply Chain Management. Pharmacy degrees are encouraged to apply.\n\n\u00b7 6-8 years of direct Clinical Supply Chain experience globally\n\n\u00b7 Knowledge of end to end clinical supply chain with a focus on operational execution\n\n\u00b7 Proficient knowledge of various project management and process tools MS Office (e.g. Excel, Smartsheet, PowerPoint, Visio, Project)\n\n\u00b7 Experienced working with \u0026 managing third-party CMO clinical supply operations.\n\n\u00b7 Strong experience of - IRT/RTSM including development of specifications, , \u0026 understanding areas of limitations, risks, or gaps to mitigate\n\n\u00b7 Excellent communication, attention to detail, collaboration, ability to manage complex challenges, and influencing skills\n\n \n\n#LI-LJ1 \n#LI-Hybrid\n\nU.S. Pay Range\n\n$136,900.00 - $185,200.00\n\nThe pay range reflects the full-time base salary range we expect to pay for this role at the time of posting. Base pay will be determined based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, skills, and education.
