Symetra is seeking a Sr. Market Intelligence Analyst to join our Stop Loss Product team. This is a highly visible, high\u2011impact role for someone who thrives at the intersection of market insight, analytics, relationship\u2011building, and strategic storytelling. You\u0027ll serve as a trusted source of intelligence on the stop loss market--translating competitive signals and data into actionable insight for product, sales, and senior leadership.\n\nAbout the role\n\nIn this role, you will own and elevate Symetra\u0027s understanding of the employer stop loss market. You\u0027ll proactively monitor competitor activity, broker and carrier behavior, and industry trends, turning fragmented information into clear narratives that influence product strategy, sales positioning, and go\u2011to\u2011market decisions.\n\nThis is not a static reporting role. Bachelor\u0027s degree in business, marketing, economics, or related field preferred.\n * 3-5 years of experience in employer stop loss, with additional experience in market intelligence, analytics, product, sales operations, or strategy.\n * Strong understanding of stop loss products, pricing concepts, and competitive dynamics.\n * Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including complex models and data analysis; aptitude for learning basic coding or automation tools.\n * Experience transforming complex data into clear insights for both technical and non-technical audiences.\n * Strong presentation, storytelling, and executive communication skills.\n * Highly curious, self-directed, and proactive--comfortable operating with a blank slate and defining the role\u0027s impact.\n * Relationship oriented, with the ability to build trust internally and externally.\n * Experience with Power BI or similar tools is a plus (dashboard creation may be supported by others).\n * Demonstrated curiosity and familiarity with AI in a work setting. \n * Ability to travel occasionally as needed.\n\n\n\nWe empower inclusion \nAt Symetra, we aspire to be the most inclusive insurance company in the country.
