Job Description - Sr Marketing Data Analyst

Job Purpose:

The Senior Marketing Data Analyst with a focus on

Data Analytics

and

Data Science , will be critical in supporting our digital marketing team. This role will help lead our efforts to tie our full spectrum marketing efforts to revenue generation and help empower our customers to do more.

Essential Functions:

Advanced Data Collection and Analysis: You'll collect and analyze customer, marketing, and web behavioral data using advanced techniques. Dive deep into data sets to uncover insights that drive marketing strategies.

Statistical Modeling and Hypothesis Testing : Apply statistical methods to understand user behavior, campaign performance, and conversion rates. Conduct A/B tests and analyze results to optimize marketing efforts.

Predictive Analytics : Develop predictive models to forecast user engagement, customer lifetime value, and campaign outcomes. Leverage machine learning algorithms for segmentation and personalization.

Attribution Modeling : Investigate multi-touch attribution models to allocate credit accurately across marketing channels. Understand the impact of touchpoints on conversions.

Data Visualization and Storytelling : Create compelling data visualizations using tools like Tableau or PowerBI. Present findings to stakeholders, translating complex data into actionable insights.

Marketing Mix Modeling : Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze the impact of various marketing channels (Website, social media, email campaigns, etc.) on overall performance. Help optimize budget allocation.

Customer Segmentation : Use clustering techniques to segment customers based on behavior, demographics, and preferences. Tailor marketing strategies for each segment.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Education:

Bachelor's degree in data science, statistics, computer science, or a related field. Master’s degree strongly preferred.

Experience:

5 years of industry experience, preferably with exposure to financial products. 2-3 years of direct work in Marketing Analytics including web, social media, and campaign performance.

Skills:

Proficiency in statistical software (R, Python, or similar).
Understanding of NLP techniques for analyzing customer feedback and sentiment analysis.
Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, PowerBI).
Expert knowledge in analyzing marketing specific tools such as Google Analytics, CRM (Salesforce.com), Marketing Automation (Marketo, ActiveCampaign, etc.), and social media analytics (Hootsuite, Twitter analytics, Facebook Insights, etc.).
Strong knowledge of SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
Cloud Services:Knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS, Google Cloud Platform, or Microsoft Azure.

Physical Demands:

Continuous sitting for extended periods of time, some standing, walking, bending and reaching. Frequent use of fingers and hands to manipulate computer, telephone and other office equipment. Continuous use of eyes for writing, editing, research and for reading and responding to emails.

Mental Demands:

Works with appropriate guidance or reliance on oral or written instructions in terms of planning and scheduling duties. Works with minimum guidance on projects, new initiatives and company sensitive issues. Performs a wide range of marketing analytic tasks as dictated by demands and changing conditions. Solicits and relates sensitive information to the Senior Management Group and internal/external experts.
