What you will be doing
The Senior Media Specialist role creates omni-channel media strategies that drive campaign performance and business growth. This role partners with cross-functional teams to translate business goals into effective media strategy, actionable insights, and recommendations. The position provides subject matter expertise across campaign planning, performance analysis, client support, and product development while identifying opportunities to optimize results and enhance media offerings
This role will be based in Pleasanton, CA or Itasca, IL and will require 4 days per week in office.
Main responsibilities:
- Expert organizational skills, great attention to detail and ability to implement and meet deadlines and manage multiple campaign
- Curate omni-channel media plans aligned to Collective best practices and with strong media rational to drive CPG campaign performance
- Contribute to the development of annual Communications Plans, Key Narratives and Metrics inclusive of client or tier specific learning agenda
- Ensure cohesive narrative/actionable media insights and next steps within Quarterly Business Reviews to generate incremental opportunities to influence sales or incremental sales for category growth
- Review, pressure test, and interpret campaign briefs with corresponding media strategy
- Contribute to Collective's new product roadmaps, playbooks and marketing materials with media expertise
- Develop performance best practices + training materials to educate cross teams for your defined book of business
- Support Sales and Account Management teams in closing business by providing media expertise
- Partner with analytics team to deliver insights & recommendations to tell a story rooted in data tied to the media strategy
- Stay up to date with competitive landscape, industry (especially Retail Media) and digital advertising trends to influence future product offerings and ways of working
- Strong stakeholder management and communication aptitude with Product Management, Technology, Sales and Account Management, Audience, Measurement, Clients and MarTech / AdTech vendor partners
We are looking for candidates who possess the following:
- Possesses a solutions-oriented mindset, solves complex problems or issues and takes a broad perspective to identify solutions and best practices
- Collaborates effectively across departments
- Can function independently & effectively manage up, e.g. if needed raising key decision points for manager discussion to arrive at optimal solution
- Is able to operate at volume with effective prioritization rooted in maximizing business impact
- Provides and is open to feedback
- Based on business opportunities, develops thought leadership to management and business leaders.
We believe the successful candidate has these qualifications and experience:
- Bachelor's degree (preferred in Business or Marketing) or equivalent experience
- 6-7 plus years of experience in digital media planning and execution
- End to end planning mindset – how do we do the optimal media approach at scale & deliver results
- Innovative thinker & problem solver
- Requires an individual that works well in a team-based, fast-paced, detail-oriented environment.
- Strong troubleshooting skill and oversight of the implementation and integration of new emerging tools and/or technologies that will enable Albertsons Media Collective to work effectively and efficiently
- Media knowledge: detailed understanding of assessing target audiences, media planning and buying techniques, evaluation of media performance and digital ecosystem acumen (ex. Understanding of ad tech)
