Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Business Development Teams identify, develop, and implement near-term and long-term business development strategies relating to the development of new products, technologies and services.

They identify markets and determine the feasibility of business and product development. Our Teams perform economic analyses on new or improved product opportunities, develop business models and determine market trends to substantiate long-term prospects.

The ICT Business Development team is responsible for ideation, development, and championing of our highest potential organic and inorganic growth opportunities through the Mergers and Acquisition process.

The team plays the role of trusted advisors to the ICT executive team and plays a pivotal role in identifying and developing opportunities to achieve our vision on portfolio expansion and growth, through a combination of organic and inorganic efforts.

As the Senior Manager Global Business Development, you will work with diverse and cross-functional teams ensure that Industrial and Commercial Transportation BU (ICT) is executing on our key strategic growth initiatives.

As a key member of the ICT Business Development Team, the Senior Manager of Business Development (BD) will advise BD leadership team on selecting the most attractive acquisition targets to create value (e.g. strengthen product portfolio, go-to-market capabilities, client base, etc.) and champion organizational focus on most attractive opportunities.

The role will engage with external stakeholders (customers, partners, regulators, etc.) and internal stakeholders (sales, product management, engineering, operations, finance, etc.) to identify, conceive, develop, and champion inorganic growth opportunities that expand Total Addressable Markets, Serviceable Addressable Markets, and margins.

Further, the role will help identify new current and future profit-pools through a deep understanding of customers, competitors, partners, and the broader ecosystem.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

Drives near-term and long-term business development strategies and annual business development plans for relevant area to achieve business objectives and revenue targets.

Recognizes new market segments and opportunities for business development, makes a calculation of returns and investment, and helps gain agreement for the investment, resources, and actions required for the developments.

Analyzes market data to identify trends/opportunities, develops strategic direction from market information, and creates compelling market analysis presentations.

Identifies markets and determines the feasibility of business and product development including economic analyses on new or improved product opportunities and develops business models based on market trends to substantiate long-term prospects.

May conduct financial analyses of prospective business ventures and make-versus-buy recommendations from a partnership/merger/acquisition perspective.

Stays abreast of trends in the industry to identify new acquisition target opportunities.

Effectively manages risks and changes across the initiatives.

May assist with business integration strategies and activities of acquired companies.



Bachelor’s and/or graduate degree in a business, technical field, Engineering is preferred.



7-10 years professional experience at minimum



Experience in organizational change.



Proven knowledge in Product Management, Program Management, Project Management or Engineering Management



Leading global or multi-regional teams in a matrix organizational structure or equivalent.



Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and a fluency in English

COMPENSATION

• Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $200,000 – $223,000 (subject to change dependent on physical location)

• Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.

• Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
