• Responsible for managing assigned aspects of the ongoing implementation of the Compliance program within the assigned Division/Region.
• Assists in developing strategy for the department with participation in ongoing risk assessments, review of policies, procedures, training programs, etc.
• Develops and manages internal workflow processes and standard operating procedures for the department.
• Responsible for completion of assigned annual monitoring and auditing work plan items as well as development of corrective action plans resulting from findings.
• Responsible for assigned activities designed to ensure thorough and credible investigation of compliance and/or privacy complaints and concerns (reports of potential non-compliance) submitted by AdventHealth workforce members and AdventHealth patients via all reporting methods and ensures all investigations are properly documented in the Compliance incident management platform.
• Conducts research (research and analysis of federal and state laws and regulations, compliance guidance, industry publications, etc.) and synthesizes information for leadership/RCO.
• Creates meeting materials, and when assigned presents such information.
• Responsible for supporting and managing assigned aspects of Compliance Department initiatives, including annual and ongoing Conflict of Interest activities.
• Develops and implements key education and training initiatives assigned
• Assumes responsibility for professional growth and development, including attendance at educational offerings to remain current in area of expertise.
• May supervise other Compliance personnel.
• Develop reports as needed to support the Division/Region.
• Other responsibilities as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Ability to exceptionally communicate (verbally and written) with senior leadership and all other levels of personnel throughout the organization. [Required]
• Ability to effectively perform education and training functions. [Required]
• Ability to prepare effective presentations and reports using a variety of software programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and composing documents effectively using advanced writing skills. [Required]
• Ability to work with other software applications/systems, such as internal and vendor compliance reporting and tracking systems, and to assist with data analytics and reporting. [Required]
• Strong communication skills and ability to present ideas and information comfortably and effectively in front of committees and large groups, legal counsel, and other key stakeholders, such as patients and representatives of government agencies. [Required]
• Ability to research regulatory subjects including AHCA, Medicare, Medicaid, and other healthcare-related laws and regulations. [Required]
• Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality. [Required]
• Ability to manage and monitor progress of work plan completion, prioritize work duties, and be able to complete tasks accurately and within established timeframes. [Required]
• Working knowledge of healthcare compliance programs and the Office of Inspector General (OIG) “seven elements” of an effective compliance program. [Required]
• Ability to manage compliance and privacy investigations. [Required]
• Strong project management skills, including the ability to independently develop and manage project plans, effectively prioritize work, complete tasks/projects within established timeframes, and report on progress to leadership. [Required]
• Ability to identify process improvement opportunities and recommendations. [Required]
• Ability to manage other Compliance personnel (direct report(s)). [Required]

Education:
• Bachelor’s [Required]
• Master’s [Preferred]
Field of Study:
• In related field
Work Experience:
• 5+ years of health care experience [Required]
• 3+ years of health care compliance experience [Required]
• 1+ year experience working in a large healthcare system [Preferred]
• 2+ years of experience in management [Preferred]
Licenses and Certifications:
• Certified in Healthcare Compliance (CHC) [Preferred]
• Certified Healthcare Privacy Compliance (CHPC) [Preferred]

$83,699.48 - $155,693.55Background Screening Requirement (Florida Law)
