## The group you\u2019ll be a part of\n\nThe Customer Support Business Group focuses on enabling our customers with premier customer support throughout their lifecycle with Lam. We drive performance, productivity, safety, and quality of customers installed base performance and deliver service and lifecycle solutions for their most critical equipment and processes.\n\n## What you\u2019ll do\n\n * Oversees the technical support of company customers by field engineers, technicians, and support specialists, who are diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing one or more of the following: complex electro/mechanical equipment, sophisticated computer systems, software systems/applications, or networking and wireless networking systems.\n * Supervises engineers that respond to situations where standard procedures have failed to isolate or fix problems in non-functioning equipment systems or software.\n * Establishes and maintains lines of communication with design engineering and software development on design, reliability and maintenance issues.\n * Ensures that engineers are current with the latest upgrades and/or new releases.\n * May be involved in customer installation and training programs.\n * Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.Helps manage and develop customer relations to identify new business opportunities,and help align Lam technical capabilities with customer technology roadmap. \n * Works directly with Sales and Service team to drive new business.\n\n\n\n## Who we\u2019re looking for\n\n * Phd with 10-12 years of work experience\n * Masters with 15 years exp\n * An advanced degree preferred.\n\n\n\n## Preferred qualifications\n\n * Etch experience preferred\n * Phd preferred\n\n\n\n## Our commitment\n\n \n\nWe believe it is important for every person to feel valued, included, and empowered to achieve their full potential.
