Sr. Mobility Engineer

We are seeking a Sr. Mobility Engineer to support a law enforcement customer in Washington, DC. In this role you will be expected to provide onsite support 3 days per week in Washington, DC.  Candidates must be willing and able to pass a federal background check to support the program. This position is contingent on contract award, and in this role you will:   

• Provide technical leadership on major wireless initiatives and establish goals and plans that meet program/project objectives.
• Plan and lead major technology assignments, evaluate performance results and recommend major changes affecting short-term project growth and success. 
• Function as a technical expert across multiple project assignments. 
• Perform systems engineering throughout the entire system life cycle to support datacenter modernization. 
• Develop understanding of customer's organization, goals, business needs, and enterprise mobile architectures and systems.
• Establish system development and integration methodologies and standards such as the ELCM.
• Develop system architectures that adhere to the Enterprise Mobile Architecture. Develop user requirements and ensure that   business solutions are consistent with client strategic goals and investment decisions. 
• Employ best practice processes in the design, development, integration, and implementation of mobile systems. Apply business process improvement practices to reengineer business processes, principles, and methodologies. 
• Implement state-of-the-practice mobile technology in the client environment, using leading-edge approaches, concepts, and ideas. Research and evaluate mobile system designs to select appropriate technology and ensure efficient use of resources.
• Be expected to supervise others.

• Candidates must be willing and able to pass a customer background check, equivalent to Public Trust level (US Citizenship required)
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science/engineering, Information Systems, Business, or other relevant discipline or related field 
• Minimum of 5-8 years’ experience in the related area as an individual contributor 
• Base-level certification, such as A+, Security+, or Network+
• Core certification within their functional area, such as VMware Certified Specialist - Workspace ONE 21.X Advanced Integration
