Exciting Opportunity for a Dynamic Senior Operations Manager!
We're seeking a talented Senior Operations Manager to lead our inbound and outbound distribution teams to new heights of success. If you're passionate about safety, efficiency, and driving continuous improvement, this could be the perfect role for you!
Key Responsibilities:
- Champion a culture of safety awareness, ensuring all team members are trained and accountable for maintaining a safe work environment.
- Lead the charge in refining operational processes for accuracy, compliance, and maximum efficiency. Your keen eye for detail will drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Effectively allocate labor resources to meet customer demands while keeping a close eye on budgetary concerns and profitability.
- Develop strong relationships with business leaders to support customer satisfaction. You'll ensure that all shipping and picking deadlines are met with precision.
- Collaborate with our Inventory Control Manager to plan, manage, and optimize all inventory functions, ensuring seamless operations.
- Implement and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure success and identify areas for improvement. Accountability will be a key focus.
- Directly manage Distribution Supervisors and provide guidance to hourly staff, fostering a culture of engagement, agility, and high performance.
- Support the coaching, training, and development of our team members, ensuring they are cross-trained and motivated to excel.
- Work closely with HR on employee performance and disciplinary matters, executing plans to drive positive outcomes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics Management or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 5-7 years of experience in Distribution Center management.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire teams to achieve key objectives.
- A solid understanding of logistics terms, concepts, and best practices.
- Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel, and familiarity with warehouse/inventory management systems.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and work independently when needed.
- Experience with Lean and Six Sigma methodologies a plus.
