Sr. OPEX Engineer

Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the overall effectiveness of manufacturing operations and achieve operational excellence. Lead and support CI events such as VSM, 5S, Standard Work and Rapid Improvement Events to achieve factory cost-out targets Assist in the development and execution of strategic plans for implementation of continuous improvement based upon lean assessment. Lead and implement projects utilizing industry 4.0 technology Support the front end of the business and help drive process improvements Collaborate with MOL and ProLaunch teams to facilitate designs for manufacturing events. Assist in training and development of personnel by mentoring team members, team leads, and facilitators for projects. Manage Engineering Change Orders (ECO) and Manufacturing Change Orders (MCO) for your support area Support the deployment of ELSS/CIF tools in the manufacturing facility Support other key plant processes and provide cross-functional support as directed. Initiate and prepare specifications for products, equipment, tooling, processes and systems to obtain optimum cost and quality manufacturability. Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited institution. Minimum of 3 years of engineering, quality, or continuous improvement experience in an industrial/manufacturing setting. No relocation benefit is offered for this position. Only candidates residing within the immediate area of the Greenwood, SC facility (50 mile radius) will be considered for this position. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation. Lean Six Sigma Certification Demonstrated proficiency with PC and related software (Microsoft Office, ERP SAP, AS400, AutoCAD). Experience with LEAN concepts/applications such as 5S+, Standard Work and Value Stream Mapping. Experience with 8 Wastes walk/elimination and visual management, process checks and deviation tracking methodology. Additional knowledge and/or experience leading projects, managing process changes, conducting analysis for root cause identification, and understanding.
