Role: Senior Paralegal - Patent Litigation

Location: Washington, DC (this is NOT a remote position)

We are seeking a Senior Patent Litigation/Intellectual Property Paralegal to join our team in Washington, DC. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing all aspects of patent litigation cases, from pre-complaint through appeal. The candidate will be responsible for overseeing case files, managing logistics, supervising other paralegal staff, and coordinating with attorneys to ensure efficient case management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage all case files and logistics of patent litigation cases, from pre-complaint through appeal.
• Supervise, train, and collaborate with other paralegal staff to ensure the highest level of support for attorneys and clients.
• Manage all aspects of eDiscovery/document production processes, including collection, tracking, quality control, service, and privilege logs with minimal supervision.
• Work closely with attorneys to calculate and enter case/matter deadlines and ensure compliance with Federal and Local Rules, eDiscovery stipulations, and Protective Orders.
• Review and collaborate with attorneys and other paralegal staff concerning the application of Federal and Local Rules, eDiscovery stipulations, and Protective Orders, providing information and/or suggestions to attorneys as needed.
• Manage the processing of client confidential information, including source code reviews, document productions, and coordinating associated client confidentiality/procedural requirements preferred.
• Coordinate trial site logistics, setup, and pretrial deadlines, including the supervision of legal support personnel and effective delegation of responsibilities and tasks.
• Provide trial courtroom assistance, including tracking admitted exhibits and time used by all parties, anticipating the needs of attorneys in the courtroom, and organizing/managing all courtroom resource material.

Required qualifications:

• College degree is required.
• Several years of IP Litigation experience.
• Experience with ECF filings, including the application of Federal and Local rules.
• Experience with oversight and management of paralegal staff.
• Bluebooking and cite-checking experience.
• Experience with appellate rules and procedures, including appellate briefing, compilation of appendices, and mandamus petition rules and procedures.
• Trial courtroom experience.
• USPTO knowledge.
• Post Grant proceedings experience.
• ITC 337 experience.
