Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-driven Senior Payroll Specialist to oversee accurate and timely payroll processing across multiple Unis locations. This role plays a critical part in ensuring compliance with all payroll-related regulations, while partnering cross-functionally to support our fast-paced logistics operations. The ideal candidate brings deep payroll expertise, excellent problem-solving ability, and a proactive approach to improving payroll processes.

Key Responsibilities:

· Process weekly and biweekly payroll for hourly, salaried, and temporary employees across multiple locations

· Accurately calculate wages, overtime, bonuses, deductions, and garnishments

· Maintain and audit employee payroll records to ensure data accuracy and compliance

· Ensure payroll practices comply with federal, state, and local labor laws

· Collaborate with HR, Finance, and Operations teams to address and resolve payroll discrepancies

· Generate payroll reports and support month-end closing, audits, and reconciliations

· Respond to employee inquiries regarding pay, deductions, and tax-related matters

· Monitor regulatory changes and ensure ongoing compliance

· Recommend and support improvements to payroll systems and processes to enhance accuracy and efficiency

Requirements

· 3+ years of payroll processing experience in a multi-site or high-volume environment

· Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll regulations and tax compliance

· Proficiency in payroll software (ADP, Paylocity, or equivalent)

· Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with reporting tools

· High level of accuracy, confidentiality, and attention to detail

· Excellent communication and analytical skills

· Experience in logistics, warehousing, transportation, or manufacturing is preferred
