Job Description - Sr. Performance Marketing Manager, Affiliates & Lead Buy Content Syn

Who we are

Samsara (NYSE: IOT) is the pioneer of the Connected Operations™ Cloud, which is a platform that enables organizations that depend on physical operations to harness Internet of Things (IoT) data to develop actionable insights and improve their operations. At Samsara, we are helping improve the safety, efficiency and sustainability of the physical operations that power our global economy. Representing more than 40% of global GDP, these industries are the infrastructure of our planet, including agriculture, construction, field services, transportation, and manufacturing — and we are excited to help digitally transform their operations at scale.

Working at Samsara means you’ll help define the future of physical operations and be on a team that’s shaping an exciting array of product solutions, including Video-Based Safety, Vehicle Telematics, Apps and Driver Workflows, and Equipment Monitoring. As part of a recently public company, you’ll have the autonomy and support to make an impact as we build for the long term.

About the role:

We're looking for a data-driven Performance Marketing Manager to own programs designed to drive qualified pipeline through lead buying, content syndication, and affiliate advertising programs with a relentless focus on efficiency, measurability, and ROI. You'll work cross-functionally with Sales, Demand Generation, Marketing Operations, and Content teams to ensure that every dollar spent generates pipeline that converts.

The right candidate is both strategic and hands-on, analytical, and excited to uncover new growth opportunities while continuously improving return on ad spend (ROAS) across multiple vendors and partners. This is a high-impact role that’s critical to achieving our growth goals in a complex, multi-market environment, and an ideal opportunity for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, loves data-driven problem solving, and is motivated by owning outcomes from start to finish.

This is a remote role open to candidates based in the United States.

You should apply if:

  • You want to impact the industries that run our world: Your efforts will result in real-world impact—helping to keep the lights on, get food into grocery stores, reduce emissions, and most importantly, ensure workers return home safely.

  • You are the architect of your own career: If you put in the work, this role won’t be your last at Samsara. We set up our employees for success and have built a culture that encourages rapid career development, countless opportunities to experiment and master your craft in a hyper-growth environment.

  • You’re energized by our opportunity: The vision we have to digitize large sectors of the global economy requires your full focus and best efforts to bring forth creative, ambitious ideas for our customers.

  • You want to be with the best: At Samsara, we win together, celebrate together, and support each other. You will be surrounded by a high-calibre team that will encourage you to do your best.

In this role you will:

Affiliate Advertising

  • Build and manage the company's affiliate program, including partner recruitment, onboarding, and activation.

  • Define commission structures, incentive tiers, and program terms in collaboration with Finance and Legal.

  • Monitor affiliate traffic quality, conversion rates, and attribution to prevent fraud and ensure compliance.

  • Identify and develop strategic co-marketing opportunities with high-performing affiliate partners.

Lead Buy

  • Manage relationships with third-party lead vendors and demand generation partners, including contract negotiation and performance reviews.

  • Define and enforce lead qualification criteria in partnership with Sales and Marketing Operations.

  • Monitor lead quality, acceptance rates, and CPL (cost per lead) against targets; optimize vendor mix accordingly.

  • Support sales enablement and monitor lead flow to ensure that leads are being routed and worked appropriately.

Content Syndication

  • Plan and execute content syndication campaigns across existing vendors and identify new vendors to test on an ongoing basis.

  • Select and package content assets (ebooks, reports, webinars) suited for top- and mid-funnel syndication goals.

  • Manage campaign targeting parameters including job function, industry, company size, and intent topics to maximize audience relevance.

  • Track engagement metrics and pipeline contribution, and continuously refine content selection and targeting based on performance data.

Analytics & Reporting

  • Own performance reporting across all three channels, with clear visibility into CPL, cost per MQL, pipe:spend, and pipeline contribution.

  • Maintain accurate budget tracking and pacing; flag risks and opportunities proactively.

  • Partner with Marketing Operations to ensure proper UTM tagging, CRM integration, and attribution across all programs.

  • Present performance insights and strategic recommendations to marketing leadership on a regular cadence.

  • Champion, role model, and embed Samsara’s cultural principles (Focus on Customer Success, Build for the Long Term, Adopt a Growth Mindset, Be Inclusive, Win as a Team) as we scale globally and across new offices

Minimum requirements for the role:

  • 5+ years hands-on experience with performance marketing programs; proven past experience managing affiliate programs in PartnerStack is a plus.

  • Experience working with high-growth SaaS products, a deep understanding of the B2B sales funnel, and familiarity with the B2B MarTech stack, including Salesforce and Marketo.

  • Results-oriented and data-driven, leveraging both qualitative and quantitative insights to guide decisions and prioritise roadmaps.

  • Proven ability to build performance marketing channels from the ground up, scaled to a high level of paid spend, with a strong focus on high-impact, high-return initiatives.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across technical and creative teams.

  • High level of ownership and accountability, with experience managing multiple stakeholders and projects simultaneously.

  • Bachelor's Degree.
