The Northrop Grumman Propulsion Systems and Controls (PS\u0026C) facility in Elkton, Maryland began solid-propellant rocket operations in 1948. Today, the Elkton PS\u0026C facility designs, develops, and produces solid-propellant propulsion and ordnance systems in programs professionally managed for a wide variety of Government and commercial customers. \n\nJob Summary:\n\nAs a Business Management Analyst, you will be responsible for supporting our development and production programs. This position will work very closely with Northrop Grumman program management, operational leaders, and internal and external customers.\n\nThe Business Manager of a Market Area will be a strategic business partner from the initial program pursuit through execution which will ensure a comprehensive understanding of multiple programs supporting the business lane. The Business Management Manager will lead advanced financial and program control activities for large, complex defense programs. This role serves as a key advisor to program and business leadership, driving cost, schedule, and performance execution while ensuring compliance with EVMS and government regulations.\n\nYou will be responsible for, but not limited to the following tasks:\n\n * Consolidate and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial market area reports including but not limited to awards, sales, operating margin, cash, sensitivities, and labor forecasting. Communicating with Market Area directors and Senior Managers any substantial changes to the financial plans immediately.\n * Review and ensure consistency on quarterly Estimate at Completion (EAC) reports and packages.\n * Support cash management activities including but not limited to proposal cash flow, cash negotiation plan, forecasting and collections.\n * Lead program specific activities including but not limited to program set-up, funding profiles, customer specific financial reports, internal and external program management reviews, and backlog validation and analysis.\n * Provide programmatic overview training and direction to individual financial analysts assigned to programs within the Market Area.\n\n\n\n#NGSkills\n\nPut your skills to the test by pushing the boundaries of what\u2019s possible. Must have 12 or more years of finance experience. Will also consider a Bachelor\u2019s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field from an accredited four-year college or university (will be verified) and 8 years of experience or a Master\u2019s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field and 6 years of experience.\n * Knowledge of applications in a computerized environment, including spreadsheet applications and data bases (e.g. MS Excel, MS Access, MS Power Point).\n * Independent self-starter and proactive contributor. Seeks to continually improve business processes and add value.\n * Demonstrated success building partnerships across organizational boundaries.\n * Ability to prioritize multiple assignments in order to meet deadlines. Organize deliverables in a clean and presentable format.\n * Ability to work in a team environment and build relationships with others.\n * Be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite)\n\n\n\nPreferred Requirements:\n\n * Prior team participation experience (professional/community/extracurricular) \n * Experience in developing and delivering presentations and leading small groups \n * Aerospace and/or DoD intern/working experience \n * Knowledge of Earned value management systems (EVMS) \n * Experience executing programs with contractual EVMS requirements. \n * Prior Experience with Deltek financial applications (CostPoint, Cobra, OpenPlan, PM Compass). \n\n\n\nPrimary Level Salary Range: $112,200.00 - $168,200.00\n\nThe above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate\u0027s experience, education, skills and current market conditions.\n\nDepending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
