Sr Principal Engineer Electromechanical

Supports and participates in the design, test, modification, fabrication and assembly of prototype electromechanical systems. Design, develop, and implement manufacturing methods and assembly instructions. Implement Lean manufacturing techniques that are applicable to statistical process control across manufacturing environments. Work closely with production floor supervisors, technicians, operators, and other engineering disciplines to support day-to-day activities. Provide recommendations and justification for new tooling and equipment. Working with suppliers to ensure quality and conformance to specifications. Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering or related STEM discipline with a minimum of 8 years of relevant work experience with Bachelors degree or 6 years with Masters degree Experience working in a manufacturing facility. Ability to obtain a Secret clearance. US citizenship required. Experience with data analysis software (Tableau, Matlab, Python, Excel, or others). Experience with SolidWorks or equivalent software. Experience interpreting mechanical drawings, GD&T knowledge. Experience using Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing concepts. Experience working in a highly regulated industry with strict customer/process requirements. Experience implementing tools/processes to improve operator/production efficiency. Hands-on manufacturing experience in assembly and fabrication. SAP experience.
