Sr. Principal Engineer Process

Coordinates with Design Engineering on product design and manufacturability issues. Coordinates manufacturing support with operations to meet quality, delivery, and cost requirements. Assists in the resolution of processing issues. Evaluates discrepant hardware. Perform cause and corrective action activities to eliminate defects. Research/evaluate tools and equipment to support manufacturing processes. Analyze processes and equipment for process capabilities and causes of downtime. Troubleshoot existing processes to improve safety, quality, cost, and efficiency. Conduct continuous improvement activities. Incorporates engineering changes to work in process. Create, maintain, and improve assembly instructions. Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Electro-mechanical Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering (or other relevant STEM degree) and 8 years of relevant experience, 6 years relevant experience with a Masters, or 4 years relevant experience with a PhD. Be able to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance for which U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite. Experience with electrical or electromechanical system assembly. Experience with automated manufacturing. Laser welding experience. Experience in production environment Experience in Surface Mount Technology Circuit Card Assembly Experience or coursework using SPC and Six Sigma techniques.
