This position will be located at Edwards AFB, CA.\n\nThe successful candidate will be responsible for:\n\n * Establishing and directing maintenance training systems, conducting classroom, self-paced learning, and practical instruction to provide technical knowledge for the safe maintenance, repair, and operation of aircraft, aircraft systems, ground support equipment, tools, test equipment, and facilities, according to established procedures.\n\n * Provide formal instructor training to other Maintenance Trainers.\n\n * Analyze current operating problems and future operating requirements to identify training needs and develop training programs.\n\n * Writes, edits, and sustains training material for instruction.\n\n * Provides guidance and supports all divisions in determining their training needs and developing and conducting their maintenance training programs.\n\n * Establishes and directs the maintenance of program wide training and qualification record system.\n\n * Maintains currency in technical developments, technical training, audiovisual techniques, and should be proficient in teaching methodologies.\n\n\n\n\nBasic Qualifications: \n\n * Must have a Bachelor\u2019s degree with 8 years of related job experience; or a Master\u2019s degree with 6 years of related job experience.\n\n * Experience as a formal military or civilian training instructor.\n\n * Experience in military or civilian aircraft maintenance.\n\n * Experience in training content delivery and instructor methodologies.\n\n * Experience with using Microsoft Office Suite, Learning Content Management Systems, Learning Management Systems, or other related software suites.\n\n * Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, utilize subject matter experts, team members, and established processes to create and sustain training materials under minimal supervision.\n\n * Strong interpersonal and organizational skills as well as oral and written communication skills are required for the position.\n\n * Ability to initiate and execute small training projects with minimal management oversight.\n\n * Must be willing to work a flexible work schedule that may include alternate/second shifts, extended shifts, holidays, and weekends and support on call status for 24 hours-a-day, 7 days-a-week, 365 days a year. \n\n * Must maintain required medical/training qualifications for worldwide travel as a condition of employment.\n\n * Mandatory 25% annual travel requirement as a condition of employment.\n\n * Active Secret DoD clearance with ability to maintain that clearance as a condition of employment.\n\n * Ability to obtain and retain Special Access Program clearance is a condition of employment. \n\n\n\n\nPreferred Qualifications: \n\n * Active DoD Top Secret Clearance\n * Formal Military Instructor Certification/Degree\n * Experience in courseware development/ISD/ADDIE modeling\n * Experience with Adobe Captivate products\n\n\n\n#MPR\n\nPrimary Level Salary Range: $106,800.00 - $160,200.00\n\nThe above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate\u0027s experience, education, skills and current market conditions.\n\nDepending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
