Our differentiated battle management and cyber solutions deliver timely, mission-enabling information and provide superior situational awareness and understanding to protect the U.S. and its global allies.\n\nNorthrop Grumman Mission Systems is looking for you to join our team as Sr. Principal Production Operations based out of Baltimore, MD.\n\nWhat You\u2019ll Get to Do: \n\n * Primary manufacturing liaison to program management for development and execution of the manufacturing strategy\n\n * Primary product development, manufacturing, test, global supply chain, and mission assurance contact for program activities, leading program review sessions with internal and external customers to discuss operational aspects of technical, cost, and schedule performance\n\n * Oversee and manage the product development, manufacturing, test, global supply chain, and mission assurance activities and serve as primary liaison to program management\n\n * Assess project and technical issues and develops and drives action plans and resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and stakeholder satisfaction goals and objectives\n\n * Develop mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with program managers, engineering, suppliers, line/cell managers, and customers\n\n * Coordinate and leads the preparation of proposals; prepares and reviews all manufacturing Basis of Estimate justifications, creates master production schedules, and coordinates material planning and production scheduling to include all aspects of producing product through delivery\n\n * Drive continuous improvement through mitigating risks and realizing opportunities\n\n\n\n\nBasic Qualifications: \n\n * Bachelor\u0027s degree with 8 years of experience in Project/Program Management, Manufacturing Engineering, or other related discipline; Master\u2019s degree with 6 years of work experience in Project Management, Manufacturing Engineering, or other related discipline; 12 years of experience in Project Management, Manufacturing Engineering, or other related discipline may be considered in lieu of degree requirement\n\n * Experience with Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS), Proposal preparation, and/or Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) development\n\n * Experience navigating CAM \u2013 Control Account Management\n\n * Experience with cost, schedule, project leadership, and/or process improvement\n\n * Experience acting as a liaison between multiple disciplines to solve complex problems with limited resources in a timely manner\n\n * Experience troubleshooting and developing creative solutions to meet customer demands\n\n * Experience driving continuous improvement through mitigating risks and realizing opportunities\n\n * The ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance is required\n\n * U.S. citizenship required\n\n\n\n\nPreferred Qualifications: \n\n * Project Management Professional (PMP) certification\n\n * Experience manufacturing defense related electronics\n\n * Experience with continuous improvement techniques \u2013 Six Sigma, Kaizen, LEAN, Red X, etc.\n\n * Experience with labor estimating\n\n * Experience working technical project management through different parts of the program/project life cycle\n\n * Experience working diverse contract types (CPFF. CPIF, FFP)\n\n * Experience with Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) Investigation type activities\n\n * Experience with data mining/manipulation \u0026 presentation\n\n * Experience communicating and engaging with executive leadership (Director or VP level)\n\n\n\n\nWhat We Can Offer You:\n\nNorthrop Grumman provides a comprehensive benefits package and a work environment which encourages your growth and supports the mutual success of our people and our company. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.\n\nThe application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
