Sr. QA Lab Technician

To strengthen our Quality Assurance Team in Springfield, VA, we are looking for a

Sr. Quality Assurance Laboratory Technician

ROLE

You will be responsible for supporting laboratory functions at Springfield.  You will be responsible for the following tasks: 

• Conduct performance acceptance testing on raw materials, intermediate and finished products.


• Maintain and update SOP’s as needed.


• Maintain records required by SOP’s.


• Maintain safe work environment.


• Calibrate and perform preventative maintenance on laboratory equipment.


• Troubleshooting simple issues on laboratory equipment.


• Create weekly/monthly quality reports highlighting trends and anomalies.


• Documentation and paperwork for customer requirements and COA’s.


• Explore/develop new analytical methods for new raw materials and products


• Assess capabilities and variances on QA methods perform Gage R&R studies.

PROFILE

• Minimum BS degree in Chemistry or in a related field or equivalent experience.


• Good understanding of statistical processes.


• Strong Communication skills.


• Attention to detail.


• Prioritization and organizational skills.


• Understanding of technical documents and manuals to help setting up new equipment or troubleshooting simple issues.
