Sr Quality Engineer

Eaton\u2019s IS VEH EMB Automotive division is currently seeking a Sr Quality Engineer. \n\nThe expected annual salary range for this role is $86000 - $ 110,000 a year. \n\nPlease note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. \n\n## What you\u2019ll do:\n\nThis position is responsible to ensure outgoing quality of all products in order to meet or exceed customer requirements and expectations. This includes outgoing inspection, first article \u0026 PPAP inspection approvals, the segregation, identification, re-work, and the proper disposition of unacceptable or non-conforming parts and materials. This position will also be responsible directing end of the line inspections, ensure manufacturing and all supporting documentation is complete, Quality Engineering and testing functions daily. Ensure facility complies with IATF and ISO-9001 certifications.\n\n \nIn this role you will: \n\u2022 Mange external corrective actions that are received from our customers. \n\u2022 Provide internal communications pertaining to all customer corrective actions received. \n\u2022 Mange customer concern notifications and coordinate internal actions to resolve customer concerns. \n\u2022 Lead all customer requested audits including; \n\u2022 Leading the audit. \n\u2022 Coordinating internally to meet the customer needs and expectations. \n\u2022 Communicating audit results internally. \n\u2022 Assigning owners to corrective actions identified during the audit. \n\u2022 Manage First Article Inspection Requests including; \n\u2022 Managing prioritization of First Article Inspection Requests. \n\u2022 Coordinating with external inspection providers as needed. \n\u2022 Maintain visual management of FAIR tracking. \n\u2022 Generate PPAP submission packages. \n\u2022 Generate control plans that meet the expectations of the customer print. \n\u2022 Manage, dispute \u0026 generate all customer Returned Merchandise Authorizations. \n\u2022 Statistical review of product data for issues, trends and improvements as needed. \n\u2022 Travel as required to support and meet the needs of our customers. \n\u2022 Continuously looking for ways to improve the customer experience. \n\u2022 Strong results-orientation and execution characteristics \n\u2022 Ability to effectively organize, prioritize and accomplish multiple conflicting tasks, make intelligent, timely decisions, and solve problems independently. \n\u2022 Ability and willingness to travel as required. \n\u2022 Support Quality activities as requested. \n\n## Qualifications:\n\nRequired (Basic) Qualifications:\n\n \n\u2022 Bachelor\u2019s Degree in Engineering from an accredited university.\n\n\u2022 2 years\u2019 experience working in a Quality Engineering related support role within a manufacturing environment.\n\n\u2022 Eaton will not consider applicants for employment immigration sponsorship or support for this position. Proficiency in using software tools for data analysis (e.g., Excel, Minitab).\n\n\u2022 Knowledge of ISO 9001 \u0026 IATF 16949:2016\n\n\u2022 Flexibility to adjust to changing priorities and new challenges in a dynamic work environment. Openness to learning new tools and methodologies. \n\u2022 Automotive industry experience.\n\n\u2022 Ability to read blueprints, technical data sheets, and schematics, \n\u2022 Quality and Metrology knowledge. \n\u2022 Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office and PDF reader (Word, Excel, Adobe/Firefox, Outlook, etc.) \n\u2022 Communicate and interact with Engineering, Tool Room and Production as necessary to promote specification compliance.\n\nSkills:\n\n \n\u2022 Must be able to work alone and on teams with good interpersonal and leadership qualities to get assigned tasks completed in a timely manner. \n\u2022 Must possess effective and verbal communications skills. \n\u2022 Must possess good organizational and prioritization skills to maintain and address multiple assigned projects and expectations. \n\u2022 Experienced in the design and development of fixtures, automation workstations, accounting for work and process flow. \n\u2022 Must be able to present ideas in a clear and concise manner through various tools or software and gain approval from various levels of the organization. \n\u2022 Experience and exposure to various manufacturing technologies such as CNC\u0027s, molding, grinding, and automation within a manufacturing environment.\n\n\u2022 Bi-lingual Spanish\n\nWe are committed to ensuring equal employment opportunities for all job applicants and employees.
