Description:

This position will lead a team of four Program Specialist IV Temporary Contractors in executing outreach strategies, monitoring recruitment effectiveness, and building partnerships to increase access to immunizations across Texas. The Manager will work closely with internal stakeholders, DSHS Responsible Entities (REs), and other external partners to achieve program goals and objectives.

Proven experience in team management, including recruitment, training, supervision, and performance evaluation, to foster a high-performing and cohesive team.

Knowledge of public health, health promotion and education.

Knowledge of program planning, administration and evaluation.

Knowledge of the use of Information Technology in healthcare.

Knowledge of public health registries

Effective team building skills.

Effective writing and speaking skills.

Excellent interpersonal skills and effective problem-solving skills.

Required Skills:

2 Years Ability to plan, direct, coordinate, and supervise the work of others; to direct program activities; to interpret public health laws, rules, regulations.

2 Years Planning and executing and supervising projects to meet management's strategies goals and ensure project delivery.

2 Years Ability to present technical information and to testify at hearings and public meetings.
