Sr Researcher, Neural Video Processing

Analyze and contribute to the development of competitive technologies in deep learning video compression. Understand system requirements and the contexts in which new technologies will be applied. Develop early-stage conceptual models to test feasibility. Document and present new algorithms and implementations through standards contributions, patent applications, conference and journal publications, technical presentations, and white papers. Uphold high technical and ethical standards in all professional activities. Master's or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. 3 to 5 years of experience in developing algorithms for deep learning video compression or other machine learning systems. Strong expertise in deep learning (DL) and statistical machine learning (ML). Extensive programming experience in Python/C/C++, particularly for image/video coding and processing; proficiency with PyTorch is required. Proven research accomplishments, including published papers and/or patent applications in video coding and processing. Experience in filing patents for new technologies is a plus. Prior participation in standardization activities and experience drafting and defending contributions is beneficial. Willingness and ability to travel internationally and adept in working with colleagues in different time zones.
